Claiming +5bhp on 125 GYTR kit over stock. That's a huge number

Added reply in a thread Supercross TV Ratings 9/23/2021 8:45 AM

SX likely won't even be on live TV period next year. NBC Sports, their cable partner from last year is ending cable tv service at the end of this year, to be replaced by NBC's streaming-only platforms. But even if that wasn't the case, the rise of streaming ... more »

Only update to the 22 is a different rear wheel, right?

Added reply in a thread Malcolm on Husky 9/13/2021 12:16 PM

Ok...So maybe that's not a great place to be coming from with a "this guy never lives up to hype" take.

Added reply in a thread Malcolm on Husky 9/13/2021 11:51 AM

Malcolm is coming off a year in SX that was his first ever full-time factory 450 gig. He was the number three guy on an all-new team. He finished the season sixth overall in the points, podiumed, and had an average finish of seventh. I am not really ... more »

I would hope you could get springs and valving for less than the $800-1200 price difference after Suzuki manufacturer rebate. That said, for the op, I'd prob recommend yzf: successful, mature platform, good resale, easy-to-ride power, nice tuning app, ... more »

This will be even less popular than that: he's still mad at all pants.

To be fair, they may have had other structural issues, but I never heard the type of complaints about JGR with regard to management rigidity or deafness to rider feedback that have been percolating about factory Yamaha.

He's always been tough to figure out, and has had his share of oddly mediocre performances, even when at his most "dominant." He is probably in the sunset stage of his career, but certainly nobody would be wildly surprised if he threw down a fantastic ... more »

So he has been OK within the last 2 years, right? In 2020 SX, at least, better than ever.

Added reply in a thread Tomac, gonna miss beast mode 9/7/2021 10:44 AM

Didn't he win his (only) SX title LAST year?

Added reply in a thread Triumph's new race team 9/7/2021 10:18 AM

My WILD speculation (don't attempt to quell): They approached JGR as a potential race partner, and there is already a bunch of Zook motor stuff hanging around the race shop to start dinking around with.

Old and busted: "Bike is great for normal guys, but not for top level." New hotness: "Bike is great for top level, but not for normal guys."

LOL. "debacle" "quell" This forum is just wild speculation.

But they had the current SX champ, and a guy who has been on the podium multiple times this season in AP7.
