The Rickman is more of just a racer, not a show queen. It is nervous handling and has an awful gearbox. However, it turns great, makes good power (albeit over a very narrow range), and Rickman build quality and attention to detail was top-notch

For just friction issues with hardware would agree with all the recommendations to try a sleeve under the guard. Makes a big difference.
