Your 2019 450 shrouds are only like $90.

My guess: They are trying to keep the "OEM restyle kit" option priced at a premium.

I had an Interceptor. Broke everything on it, including the frame -- All except for the one-piece cranks. They were indestructible. Opted to put one-piece on my next bike.

Dude, why would they have a problem admitting that? They literally just moved an engine factory and the engine development for most of their small bore European motorcycles and scooters under Fantic.

Ultimately, it wasn't intended as a contest. The point was that no sane person would call either Winnebago or Oroville a "pond"

It certainly should be a narrower hop-up window, which is a good thing (I would rephrase as higer baseline). Example: new YZ125 comes stock with V-force, which is one less bolt-on hop up nearly every YZ125 builder performs. You see the same phenomenum ... more »

I don't really see that it is as much engineering as would be the case if say, you were to see a 9% jump on an all-new model. Builders/teams have been working on getting incrementally more hp out of the old YZ125 powerplant for two decades, with many ... more »

It says that Honda still runs a factory team in both the MXGPs and US Nationals and competes at a very high level in all classes, whereas Suzuki, who as recently as a decade ago had a much stronger program than Honda has all but given up pro motocross. ... more »

Some others, too. To name some of them: Geico/Factory Connection ran Windham/Hahn/Tomac/Stewart/Bogle in 450s KTM ran Roczen/Musquin/Ferris/Hill in 250s Pro Circuit ran Tickle/Rattray in 450s

A 29er is fairly close in outer diameter to a 21" mx tire. A 29er sits on a 24.5" rim, but with a bit smaller sidewall than an mx tire, for an external diameter of about 28.5". An 80/100-21 MX tire has an outside diameter of about 28", splitting the ... more »

"Clearly accelerating" = rolling to a stop in less than a bike length.

And so you think a dimed 50+ horsepower bike wheels-down only can make it a couple feet up a moderate incline? Because that seems to me more like what a bike that was ghost-riding while not under power would do.

Added reply in a thread Looked like it hung wide open 8/16/2021 1:31 PM

It didn't even cartwheel once. It went top over, bounced on subframe, then sideways directly on to the wheels before falling over almost immediately

Added reply in a thread Looked like it hung wide open 8/16/2021 1:20 PM

Not really. It bounced, landed wheels down, went a couple feet from the rear wheel's momentum before falling over. If that thing was pinned, they'd still be chasing it today.
