Jincheng was in Dakar for a number of years, usually on a Yamaha, for obvious reasons. Shineray (chongqing) would be in a similar boat: they don't even make an actual MXer.

In addition to screwing up details, the metallurgy is really their hugest miss, and the bikes will continue to scare people away as long as that is a problem, regardless of which badass design they are copying.

They seem both equally at a disadvantage. The lites, because in that class, power is still King, and factory bikes are designed, in a best case scenario, to grenade two hours after the moto. The bigs, because there are some money-supported efforts focused ... more »

Nah. They don't even have a Sprinter. They have a $2000 Econoline. They probably put nearly as many parts on that as on the bike.

Just watched. Herlings took Prado's line on the pass. Shouldn't be surprised that a bump came from behind. Prior to that, he had a lot of track to work with, and was looking for something, but just couldn't capitalize. And he was looking to the pits. ... more »

Frame is pretty visually different to a KTM, beyond the superficial resemblance. I doubt the geometry is the same. In fact, I wouldn't be 100% sure the geometry was the same bike to bike in the KEWS line. Many Chinese companies' focus is more on building ... more »

Lifan is not super off brand. They are one of the largest motorcycle engine manufacturers in the world. Also not really getting how it had a better ride than any Japanese street 250 given all their designs are basically re-hashed vintage 70s-80s era ... more »
