Thanks. I wanted to use aluminum, but don’t have the equipment to do the machining. I did all of this with a hand drill and taps.

I had NGK B9EV that I used, but I recently crossed them to a new NGK number plug which is the BR9EIX plug.

That would be cool, but I've owned this bike since 1981. I bought it from the original owner that year. It is an interesting coincidence. I guess we have the same taste!

I'm having trouble setting the timing using a Motion Pro dial gauge following a restoration. After finding TDC, then moving to the appropriate mm advancement, the mark on the fly wheel is at about 7:00 o'clock and I can't rotate the stator plate far ... more »

Yeah, I bought my 1981 YZ125 from m a friend in 81, and it had a clip masterlink. I replaced the chain once, with a clip type link chain. This is a restoration job I'm doing with my oldest son and I bought the chain from Dennis Kirk. It was specked for ... more »

Any ideas on what chain breaking and riveting tool to get? I tried a set from Amazon (inexpensive) and it won't rivet the CK chain link. In my opinion, it's a piece of s***. The chain pins that should flair are making dents into the tool and not mushrooming ... more »

I have a question about the placement of the top seal on the 81 yz125H steering stem. My son and I are restoring my YZ125H and I have forgotten where that upper seal is placed on the stem. Would you happen to know the position of this seal. We cleaned ... more »

Thanks for the idea, though!
