Also strikes me that the Italian input in the MX2-class is very slim, only Monticelli and Bernardini, not the two greatest talents. There were different times.

Argentina seems a pretty artificial track to me... but we'll see how that turns out. The problem with the YS-trackbuilders is they can't leave a single straight or turn for what it is. Every section must be stacked with whoops, bumps, rythm sections, ... more »

I really liked Rhenen in the 90s when the GP 500cc was ridden there. I remember the battle between Smets and Parker in 1995. Very hot day also, riders were exhausted at the end. Francorchamps and Zolder in Belgium were also on a road race circuit and ... more »

Lommel is just a bunch of sand on an industrial terrain, nothing more. Wish the days of Namur, Neeroeteren, Kester etc came back.

Added reply in a thread Some Stats between Cairoli & RV! 2/19/2015 3:20 AM

Cairoli as well as Villopoto have stated they won't do any interviews anymore before Qatar so they can totally focus themselves on the start of the c'ship. Paulin mentioned he won't read anything anymore about the start of the season. Man, it's about ... more »

Haha thanks! The thing is, since fishing seems to be a popular hobby around here: the pond the USA can fish in is much larger than any other MX-country in the world, so I think it's "easier" to have talented fish you can send. How many tracks the US ... more »

Valkenswaard in the Netherlands is not the most spectacular track, but the people are nice there and you can visit cities like Eindhoven. If you stay in the UK I can recommend you Matterley Basin, very nice track (for the riders and the spectators) with ... more »

I think he can end up pretty high, as he is a consistent rider when he stays uninjured. The opposition is very strong: Cairoli, Villopoto, Paulin, Desalle, Van Horebeek, Strijbos, Nagl,... Mostly he'll finish around fifth to eigth place I believe with ... more »

How's that? Tixier got more points than Herlings, so, he's the ruling champion. It's not Tixier's fault Herlings broke his femur. Same story with Ramon and Coppins in '07. Coppins deserved it, Ramon got it.

Added reply in a thread Herlings...please help me out. 2/18/2015 7:44 AM

Yes, but the problem was that Tixier was going to leave KTM anyway. Now we have a Kawasaki with the number 1 plate while a KTM got the title.

MXGP: 1. Villopoto 2. Desalle 3. Cairoli MX2: 1. Tixier 2. Gajser 3. Ferrandis

I agree with most of the guys here, both Euros, Aussies and 'Mericans. Without a doubt Cairoli is the man to beat for the Worldtitle, since his 6 consecutive ones. Villo is the main contender, period. The last Americans travelling across the ocean weren't ... more »
