450 hrs!!! Says a lot about modern 4 strokes. Congrats on the 19' Husky ...
I am sure you know this, but make sure to get the fork/ shock settings back to factory or something close. A couple of clicks can really change things. I have a 17' and am happy with the AER forks, but I bought the bike with the forks close to flush ... more »
It looks great! congrats! Parting comment: Don't be afraid to adjust the forks higher/ lower in the triples to get the steering where you want it! and yes, I will never have to kick start a modern bike again!

One person. Another con to this type of carrier. It goes on, on the right and off on the left. If parking is tight you need to manage space around you. At the days end I have backed up to make room. No big deal, just a consideration.

I use this Black Widow carrier. Steel out from the hitch, then bolted to the aluminum rail the bike sits on. I always tighten down the anti rattle yoke, which really keeps things stable. After one year, I am fully confident in this carrier and recommend ... more »
In April, 2018 I bought a bone stock 17’ 350sxf with 6.2 hrs for $5,800. More than I wanted to spend but low hours sold me. It was a bank repo, and must have sat outside for a while, so a little wooly, but I scrubbed it back to life... and love it! Now

Where am I, 4 months after the first ride in 35 years! It was rough at first. Like waking up next to a hot, Italian model, but not man enough to satisfy her! I was getting killed in the sand, could barely turn, bumps were like a jack-hammer. 2 laps in ... more »
For the forks, I went from 146 to 132, which really smoothed out the ride. I am same weight, 50+ Vet C, so slower than many, but I was getting killed in choppy sand sections and tight braking bumps. Also raised forks to the forth line. Totally changed ... more »
Guys: Quick summation: "Like wrestling a Python!" This weekend I got up the nerve to ride my recently purchased, lightly used (6 hours) 17' KTM 350 SXF. Call me a P_SSY, but a few details may help. I am 57, in good shape (run, lift, mountain bike, ski) ... more »

Moto Mecca, ran there in 75-79. Always a good start but best was a forth. hard, boilerplate, dusty, rocks, concrete ruts. God forbid they water it. Loved it though. Great times with my dad and racing partner, Neal...
Do you spray anything on plastics/ engine etc after you clean it
The story as I know it... A kid in Vermont bought it, but the bank took it over due to missed payments. I bought it from a dealer of used dirt bikes and atv’s. They said the bike was probably repo’d dirty and probably sat for some time outside. Couldn’t ... more »
Eddieg15, how do you clean/ prep your chain? Both it and the sprocket look brand new!
The Journey Begins! Here is my bike before I took it off the trailer. My goal is to make it spotless, since it must have been sitting for 6 months uncleaned. Really not bad, just oxidation and corrosion on the spokes, hubs, chain and engine. Here are

Just picked it up. 6.0 hours and it's legit. The bike was repossessed but it must of been taken dirty since there is slight oxidation on the cylinder head and spokes, plus the chain has some rust with sticky grime on it and the swing arm ... I did run ... more »
Word from the past ... Sano! ...
Thx CH118. Your bike looks awesome. I guess these can go for years if you commit to proper maintenance. Next step is buying gear, ouch nothing is cheap!
I look forward to swapping my bike to ride two strokes, so we'll see. agn5009, if you're my age, do you recall a track in State College? It had a monster drop away jump that ran out down a long hill. My one trip there was a rainy mudder, a total slosh ... more »
