It's a tough industry, and I think Cooksey was just trying to separate himself from what everyone else does to try and give himself his own little niche. Some times it worked and some times it didn't, but he always had good intentions when it came to ... more »
I hate to get in the middle of a good Vital MX pile on episode (lord knows I've been the recipient of a couple of those in my day) but Cooksey wasn't talking about himself in 3rd person. I wrote the intro text in the post. I didn't think about how strange ... more »
I'm with you Lumpy. My wife and 1 of my kids are both high risk (one extremely high), so I've literally had to put everything on hold until a shot in the arm. Unfortunately, including traveling to any races. I just wish I was on a Highway in Oregon yesterday. Hahaha I'm ... more »
As soon as Kaiser says I'm eligible, the wife, kids and I will be there. I have zero reservations
I and my family will be first in line when made available. You hear all this crazy shit from the anti-vac's movement, but so far I've taken every vaccine ever offered throughout my life and so far it hasn't turned me into a zombie. I'll give it one more ... more »
My brother tested positive last week and he seems to be doing well. 55 years old, in better shape than I was in my 20's, never smoked and no pre-existing conditions to speak of other than being an asshole at times. So far he's doing well. No taste/smell, ... more »
I lost track of all that, but I think it was broken. No clue who the record holder is at the moment, but Ryan definitely had it at one point. If people don't know who Ryan Capes was, he set a distance record of 390 feet about 10 years ago. I heard about ... more »
I've known Ryan for 20+ years and I'd rather we not get too much into his drug use, but that would not surprise me if that's what happened. I just reported this news and it hurts. Whatever Ryan put into his body or not, he was a good man that had his ... more »
The Mad Skills scrub baby! At least DD put the question of "I wonder if that could ever work that well on a real SX track" to rest for us.
I was wondering the same thing. It's like DD stopped mid backflip and struck a pose for the Gram.
The story behind those is Kevin just wanted to race and thought it would be fun to try the 250 class if I remember it right. After a couple of bad starts and eating roost, I think I remember him saying he quickly regretted it.
I used to mute the TV when they broadcasted the races and sync the Weege / Holley audio to the TV broadcast and watch it that way. I loved Jim Holley’s insight and the way he and Weege called the races. I grew up with Jim, though. Jim was a local Indian ... more »
Is that your factory steed for sale? Not sure why you're so offended otherwise.
I'm told it will likely be "Hard Card Press Corps" only.. Which I fit. But you're right, there's a good chance they'll limit it even further. I'll be okay either way.
I'm told this is likely happening. If so, I'll probably be renting a Prius and driving the 20 hours to Phoenix and at least staying for 2 weekends of it if I do. No airplanes for me. I'm hoping those are the doubleheader weekends. I've always thought ... more »
Mr Speaker, I would like to second that. This thread is mind-blowing. Cole is one of the most down to earth kids you will ever meet in this sport. Other than that, not much more to say other than I can almost guarantee every HRC team employee likely ... more »
Your signature Indian Dunes and Indian artwork was drawn by my dad, Gary Lamb. He's unfortunately gone now but was park manager from early '70's through when it closed. He drew and did the silkscreens for all their shirts, many of CRC's shirts and AME's. ... more »
Best track ever built hands down in my opinion: 2009 St Louis SX--Travis Pastrana design. I'm not sure what riders on 2020 equipment would be doing differently on it. I know more riders would be doubling over the dragon's back now then were in '09 .
As I said, I'm not saying anyone needs to donate anything or not get a refund (I assume most everyone will), I'm just amazed how quickly it went from, "man, I hope they don't cancel races" to "where the fuck is my refund?" I'm lucky enough to not have ... more »
I don't know why i'm surprised but I am. I'm surprised so many people are in an uproar about their $20 from NBC Gold, or their SX tickets getting refunded and now. For me, and i'm not saying you should, I will happily donate to both as long as they do ... more »
