Texas Living/Riding 5

Hey guys,

I am currently living in Minnesota and am strongly considering moving down to Texas. I have visited a handful of times now. I know that the DFW and Houston areas are the best areas to live around for MX. I am a Industrial Technology Teacher, I do have my Class A CDL as well. I am wondering where are good affordable areas to live around that is near the MX scene.

Did you make the move? We are considering relocating to Texas, northwest of DFW.

Yup! Been here a little over a year, very glad we made the move. We ended up in Wise County for the low taxes. We like the area and there's good tracks. If we were doing it over again I think I'd want to look a bit more on the east end of north Texas, there's even more tracks over on that side, but we're still learning the area.

I am slightly jealous! When I was looking I was interested in around the Tyler-Kemp Area. I still haven't fully made up my mind yet. I typically make it down there every year to ride. I just really enjoy my job and the schedule that I have, but winter does get old. If you ever get an opportunity check out Oak Hill in Decatur, 3 Palms down in Conroe and OMC in Oklahoma City.

Yeah, I've got a buddy in Indiana that would move down here in a heart beat if not for his job. I ride Oak Hill, River Valley, Village Creek and His 956 all the time, those are my local tracks. Haven't made it down to 3 Palms or up to OMC yet, but I've heard really good things about both, hope to try 'em out soon. Tyler is a good area, we've been down there for races a few times (Swan, Buffalo Creek etc.)
