I put wheels off of a 12 yzf450 on my 09 yz250 two stroke. Had to have a machine shop mill out a 1.5 mm thick tube that was as long as the ends of the 450 wheel spacers. 50$ and works awesome.

Do you know if the 2012 YZ250 wheels/axles/spacers are the same size as the newer 2010-2013 YZ450F? Nice bike BTW. I like the graphics/black wheels/black seat/black bars. Just the right amount of black/blue/white colors!

I may try to build one like yours. I have a lot of spare YZ450 parts.

Hey there, thanks for the comments. I have a 2011 YZ450 as well and the front wheel will fit but the rear wont. The two strokes have the older the 22mm diameter axle where as the newer YZ450F's have a 25mm diameter axle. I have heard that in order to run the larger wheels you would need to put in the newer swingarm, linkage rod, bell crank etc as well as the axle, and caliper carrier = $$$$.
