Oh, and look for a mid-season report with all of the TV and Internet and crowd stats you need to just be even more pissed off about me. It should be out this week. See you at Pala, Trip? Probably not, I will presume. DC MX Sports

Trip, you have no idea who I talk to or what we base these decisions on, but I can tell you that if you aren't coming to races anymore, and you aren't watching them on TV, yet you come on this message board to bitch and moan about your frustration/ignorance ... more »

If someone can't get off work on the one Saturday of the year because the nationals are nearby, there's just nothing I can do about it. I apologize but it's a decision that we made with both the athletes and TV in mind, as well as expanding the reach ... more »

Hank, thanks, I did the interview, Simon shot it. Look for more in the near future, thigh I don't know if everyone will be as forthcoming as Chad was in this piece. DC MX Sports

Trip is such a fan he didn't even go to the GP ten minutes from his house (and on a Sunday). All six rounds have been up this year over last, and I imagine Millville's problem last year had a lot to do with a date change after years in August, as well ... more »

Couple of guys I left off that list: Gunnar Lindstrom, who emigrated here and has worked for Honda forever; Lars Larsson; Jan-Eric Salqvist (who ended up racing in Canada); and I can't believe I left off Peter Johansson... Add it all up and there was ... more »

Doc, We have been wanting to do more of a story on whatever happened to Sweden. I remember all of the greats from when I was a kid, and even the ones I read about that were before my time: Hallman, Lundin, Tibblin, Aberg, Kring, Jonsson,Andersson, Hammergren, ... more »

I have known Colleen Millsaps for a dozen years and she has never once asked me or anyone at MX Sports for a hookup for anyone. In fact, the only two things I can remember her calling me to ask are whether or not The Ten Commandments were still in one ... more »

The only thing we want to get rid of is Supercross-only contracts, and we're getting there in a hurry... But not sure if we can do anything about that Supercross-and-The Hills-only deal that Hanny's got. Just kidding. Again. See you at Pala. DC MX Sports ... more »

Added reply in a thread Drop-offs: Update 7/9/2010 4:35 AM

I think some of you are missing the point, we are not making the tracks easier or "pussifynig" the sport by being smarter about marking and altering the angle of drop-offs. It's because Dr. John Bodnar might have died when he accidentally drove his mule ... more »

Thanks for the input, I will pass it along. But here's something funny: All three shows -- NBC, Speed and Allisports.com -- come of the same TV truck, with the same production crew. Why are they different? Because NBC wants more general than Speed, and ... more »
