I have a pro circuit piston, ported head by TLR, Rekluse Torq Drive clutch, t4 fuel, Pc pipe, and a vortex ecu. That being said when I used the stock Vortex maps set to the most power it was only 58 hp... then I had TLR dyno tune my bike and make a custom ... more »

Under the carbon one is just the inner pipe that goes to the end. If they’re compatible you definitely need to take the stainless cap off first.

The first time it's a pain but once you get in there and loosen it you can spin it to a better spot when you tighten it.

I'm 6' 160 lbs I thought the forks were to soft and with both springs it was better but a little stiff for me. I had PC set mine up and they used stock fork springs 350cc of oil and I have an a kit shock with a 5.4kg shock spring. The bike is awesome ... more »

Another thing is I'm using kxf internals but the difference in shock length comes from the shock body. The kx a kit body is shorter then the kxf one.

Hmm not sure since the 03 has the stubby clevis and you can't use a longer link arm to compensate. I have a kx a kit shock but yeah I have about 2500 into it lol.

No I tried drilling one out to slide it down but it wasn't the right size. I just gave up and put the fork together I was selling it anyway.

https://youtu.be/DZ27aOQFM9s This video shows a similar kit but at 4 minutes you'll see how to do the cartridge seal. If you can find a nut that slides down and fits maybe you can do it.

You're going to need a special tool to do the cartridge seal too I couldn't find it. Race tech sells the tool for the fork like you're showing though.

I've heard of people doing it to make an 04-05 kx shock fit yes. I'm not sure how hard it is just to swap the clevis to the right one? Are you wanting to add an a kit kxf shock?

The owner's manual has all the torque specs in the back as well. It covers just about every bolt that's exposed. The service manual has all the motor torques and everything else.
