Yeah, you need to be lined up at like 4:30am to get in. Some buddies and I just did the Houston race. We got to the stadium a little after 5 (10/15 minutes) while there wasn’t much of a line at that time, we still ended up pretty far back in the pits. ... more »

That’s a DFW area code. Come pay him a visit Patsy when you get the chp bike

I was just referring to the 17/14 bike. I was only pointing that out because my buddy traded for one, and then realized he couldn’t race it at a big pitbike race we were going to because of the reasons I said above.

You can find 140s for much cheaper than that. I bought a ‘17 140L for $1900, and a ‘16 140L for $1800. Both were very clean and didn’t have many hours on them. My buddy just picked up a ‘14 140L that looked brand new for $1400. The race thing is actually ... more »

Front end bolts right on. I’ve heard a couple of guys having to put a washer under the bottom stem bearing because of a little slack, but I haven’t had that problem. For the 85 rear shock, you need to swap the L clevis on to the 85 shock. The 85 clevis

It actually isn’t that expensive. A full blown stupid fast motor package from Indonesia is about $1000. That’s head, cylinder, crank, carb, cam, and CDI. You can usually find 85 stuff cheap, I’ve found rollers for around $500. Really just need the forks, ... more »

I have a couple 140s too. I bought a 150R roller for a potential conversion, but after sitting on it it felt a lot smaller than my 140. I kinda scrapped the conversation idea after that. Back to the OP, none of those bikes will really compare to a modded ... more »

And unfortunately the few tracks that did, made the pitbike tracks too small. No one cared to ride them more than once or twice.

There’s quite a few of us in the DFW area, and Waco. We all ride maddog bikes (the bigger Pitbikes like klx140, ttr125, crf150f, etc). 2 weeks ago at Burleson MX, we had 15 riders in the pitbike class.

Dude can ride, there’s no doubt about that. I was at the Austin and Dallas AX races he won. In Austin, he ran down Champion in one main. He had to come through the pack too, while Scott was out front. In Dallas, he just had a faster pace than Wharton. ... more »

Not sure if it’s for sale, but I saw Greenville MX closed here in Texas. I’d imagine the owner would sell it.

Reply to How many hours for piston in a 250F, NOT RACING. 2/28/2019 4:47 PM

I went 40hrs on my ‘17 KX250F before I replaced the piston. Original piston still looked good, not much wear at all. My buddy went 140hrs on his old YZ250F, I think it was a ‘14 or ‘15, before he did any engine stuff. I’m not willing to risk it that

I was about to say the whoops are what killed him. I can’t remember if it was the heat or LCQ, but one lap he got passed by 2 guys in the whoops. While it’s a surprise to see him not make the main, I wouldn’t worry too much. Arlington had some technical ... more »

I was just about to post the new annoying thing is FB market place and the “still available?” followed by no response. I’m selling a 17 KX250F right now, just this past weekend I had 3 people ask if it was still available (i said yes, they didn’t reply),

I’m confused. I thought the Phoenix team went up in smoke? Now I see Owen, Freddy, and Teasdale are on it, and they have a big race rig. What did I miss?

I quit running one a few years ago due to a similar reason. My bike would run for 2 laps, then just die. After a few minutes, it would fire back up and run fine for another 2 laps. Drove me crazy trying to figure out the problem, people were saying it

Such a sad deal. It was terrible hearing about this last Friday night as things were unfolding. I’m only a year older than him, and had just raced this same series the week before in Austin. There was a handful of people that hit a wall at that race. ... more »
