Agreed... from the pic, it doesn’t look like it’s lined up right... some times you got to really work it into place

I’ve been running Maxima ProPlus. Seems pretty good. Anyone else have experience with this?

Thanks for the review... a lot of people have gone with the rear caliper hanger and rotor off of the 2018. I did that myself and it worked pretty well. Can probably score the new parts off eBay at a good discount.

Wow..that’s gone up quite a bit. I bought a set with clamps from PC in 04 for my crf 250, and it was like $5,500 for everything. Stuff was pretty awesome though... definitely not fast enough to appreciate it though.

Mine is rubber mounted. From what I understand, when they first came out, they were solid mounts, and due to breakage, they switched over to rubber. Again, that is just my understanding.

My PC is rubber mounted, but I’ve heard of some still having the breakage problem. Not sure how this wasn’t addressed on the 2021 by Kaw

Thanks for he input on the 51 rear... it’s Ordered and on its way 👍. I’m definitely not a revver on the 450 either.

Just curious, for you guys running the 51 rear, are you heavier than the target audience weights? Was thinking about getting the 51 to be able to pull 3rd out of turns better, but don’t want it to be too jarring or ruin that smooth power characteristic. ... more »

Actually just got to ride with my FC revalved suspension. I’m 185, Vet C/B rider with very little talent and must say that I really felt a difference in the ride of the bike. It was a bit stiffer overall, but just felt smoother everywhere. They actually ... more »

Wondering the same thing...the only thing I can think of is that it has something to do with the gaskets? I’m interested in hearing the answer. That polished transmission would be awesome to have. I’m too dumb and slow to need any real engine mods. Pipe, ... more »

I’m running this one in 2.0... talked to twin air and said it would be fine for the bike. Great cap... knocked almost 6 seconds off my lap times

Goblin, you are definitely overthinking the break in process. Some don’t break their bikes in at all and others have a process. Personally (not to say that My method is better than anyone else’s), I do three cycles. I run them very easy at first and ... more »

Pretty sure that’s the same map that MXA has posted on their site and it seems to be the go to map for a lot of owners as well. I could be wrong though. Think you may have a point on the white coupler. MXA doesn’t say anything about which coupler to ... more »

I installed both on my KX a few months back. The look of them alone is almost worth the cost of admission. The bike definitely corners well. Not sure if it’s them on their own or a sum of the other stuff I’ve done. Either way, they are sweet. Went with ... more »

Yup. Don’t forget to do the fi as well, and per his review, use the white coupler. Here’s a link to his review article (with upgrades) which has a good breakdown and explanation of the settings. Good read altogether. https://www.keeferinctesting.com/motocross-testing/tag/KX450 ... more »

Definitely agree on the hardware being a touch lower quality versus some competitors. I actually re-tapped the lower side panel threads to take 10mm bolts. Seems to be a decent durability upgrade and I don’t have to use two different t-handles to get ... more »

I’m really looking to do this Emig replica, but can’t find anyplace that can even come close on matching the purples for the seat and graphics. I don’t care if the actual purples aren’t the same as the Emig bike, but want them to match for the seat and ... more »

I’ll be getting mine back from FC in a day or so. I’m 185, and a vet c/b rider, and surprisingly, I didn’t need springs. Will post some feedback when I get some time on them. I send all my stuff to them. Had nothing but good experiences with them.

Thanks. Wasn’t sure how the graphics would turn out, but I’m pretty pleased. Was going for the emig replica from the late 90’s but was having trouble with the purples and the design overall. Definitely helps me look faster than I’m actually going! The ... more »
