How is that ironic?

I don't really like the song either. but Dirt Shark's demographic (and a good chunk of the riders these days) listen to rap not Tim Mcgraw. Its music preference. you can like rap and not be a "homie" ....relax

To be fair to the governments and departments planning this, it is very difficult to plan for something as relatively unprecedented as this. I would rather be in a situation where field hospitals were built and not needed, than needed and not built. ... more »

In Steves rant (like I said I think you are both being dicks, so I thought his rant was a bit cheap) but in his defence, he said the $420 thing was fine, and that he never had an issue with you asking that, but just said it was just getting too expensive ... more »

A few little sneaky digs there Ping. I feel like calling the pulp show "TMZ for the moto community" is a bit rough, its a quality show that is generally light hearted, but also covers the serious aspects of the sport. They aren't talking about bloody ... more »

There is no magic skill set unless you want to make it right to the top, which it is too late anyway. You obviously have the desire, and that is by far the most important part. use your head, and before you know it, you will be getting around the track ... more »

Yes, it is very much worth it. Almost every other sport participants get some type of formal training. but for some reason people tend to skip it in our sport. It should give you some bike skills and confidence that you need. Go for it, and let us know ... more »

Finally I think this whole thing is such a tough thing to juggle. And I would not want to be calling the shots. But I do think the right balance between public health and the economy can be hit. Case in point Germany and France They share a border, but ... more »

Understood, and I never said the flu and H1N1 were not dangerous. So we really aren't that far apart in our beliefs at all. Cheers, and have a good evening

We currently have 603 known active cases across the country, so our restrictions are currently being eased, I am in the state which is currently the worst affected, and the restrictions were eased on Wednesday. still lots of restrictions in place, however ... more »

You are right, and hospitalisations per 100,000 is a good barometer, however given the wide ranging social distancing measures in place the spread is likely to be slowed, so comparing merely that is not apples to apples. I am not down playing the severity ... more »

To get a bit of an idea of the effect these lockdowns have had on infection rates. The recorded number of flu cases in Australia is something like a 90% drop in April 2020 compared to April 2019.

Yeah I understand that the exact figures are both difficult to get, and flawed when they are counted. However I think it is clear from what is happening in hospitals and morgues in NY, Italy, France and the UK that this is very clearly not merely a seasonal ... more »

Hahah. Come on, I understand the argument that we shouldn’t have such severe lock downs, and that the effect on the economy is too severe. That is a reasonable debate. But to say that the same percentage die from the seasonal flu, is absolutely delusional. ... more »
