Reply to New Dirt Bike Company in 2023 by Robby Gordon (Speed) 9/19/2022 8:35 AM

If you’re on the fence about this guy or think he’s serious about mx, read the comments on his Instagram post about this bike. “Excited to play in SX” leads me to believe he’s either delusional or has no problem stretching the truth. He also mentions ... more »

There wasn't a rule stating they had to race a 250 exclusively the past few years... and frankly I think it it was a good idea during that time. Obviously given the super tight confines of an arena, and you don't have a start ripped 2 feet deep, a 250

You got downvotes, but I can confirm that’s exactly how it worked for the yellow OEM when I worked there. I laughed every time I’d travel out of my district to race, and meet a fellow yellow rider who claimed “my district rep told me e start and a new ... more »

Word on the street is a pro night Saturday, amateur stuff on Sunday like the old days. Also heard it's a few investors who came onboard, one's been mentioned here, plus someone who was around from the good ol' days (but on the team side, so bringing ... more »

Reply to 2023 Husqvarna Motocross and Cross-County Lineup 5/17/2022 2:26 PM

I looked up the specs on both sites… they kept them different heights. 939mm on the husky, 958mm on KTM. So 19mm, almost an inch lower. Pretty neat little difference to make a bike more suitable to a different customer.

Reply to Why aren’t cone valves stock? 5/16/2022 8:10 AM

The “cone valve” itself refers to a mid valve that uses a cone facing the mid valve and a spring to replace a standard flat faced mid valve and shim stack. That’s it. If the 15 shims cost $10, I’d argue the cost of the aluminum cone and spring would ... more »

That makes perfect sense.

New thread Buying one case half? 4/21/2022 5:44 PM

So I received a YZ125 that somehow has a chunk of the left crankcase half missing at the rear where the swingarm pivot goes through. This may be a stupid question, but I just wanted to see if anyone has ever had an issue replacing only one case half?

New thread Hard Wire KTM Starter Switch 12/26/2021 7:37 PM

So I’m building a bike from a frame up, and notice a few of the wiring harness connections have failed. I repaired the intake air temp connector, and am now onto the 4 prong plug where the starter button meets the harness. My question is, to hard wire

New thread ISO 250SXF Engine, or engine parts 10/9/2021 11:51 AM

I recently purchased a 2020 250SXF with a nice hole in the cases from where the rod departed. The cylinder head was still usable, but the previous owner sold the head. Pretty much all of the OEM parts needed are currently on backorder til the 21st of ... more »

I used the stock valve springs, they are also used in GSXR models stock. The girls at webcam were very familiar with those springs and we’re 100% confident they’d handle the lift and rpm’s. Congrats on a successful Loretta’s!

Reply to 2019 RMZ250 8/22/2021 7:46 AM

All is well! Vortex arrived and if I were to do it all over again that may be the first thing I did! The added rpm is a HUGE help. The stock ecu only revs to 13200, which is a significantly lower than other oem’s. Additionally, the stock ecu cuts fuel ... more »

Reply to Dunlop vs Pirelli 8/1/2021 8:50 AM

I noticed two things when I switched to pirelli from Dunlop’s -they are softer, so they’ll (especially the front tire) feel low and more likely to chunk knobs with 12psi but awesome at 14. The softer carcass makes it feel like going a few clicks softer ... more »

Reply to $10,000 Pro purse at Desoto MX 7/6/2021 6:39 PM

I would also second this by adding last year Pine Bluff MX in Arkansas had a 10k pro purse, and even with having to reschedule (due to rain) on top of the moto playground race in Ponca it brought out a bunch of pros and more spectators than I’ve seen ... more »

They did away with the US R&D department. As in, no more US specific stuff and a move to more global models. At the time of their release, they were basically slapping accessories from the Suzuki accessories catalog on bikes for trade shows. From ... more »

Reply to 21 Kicker Arenacross needs 2 mains in each class 1/10/2021 7:41 AM

Or longer mains. I think 20 laps for the premier class mains was the norm in the feld days (pre-2 main circus act with “Deal or No Deal” briefcases to determine an inverted start).

Worth noting, big brother Jake rode the 1st heat, went from 5th to 3rd. LeBlanc, Vohland, and himself all running 1:03’s, but Jake is on a bike he picked up a week or so ago and hasn’t raced a 250 since Bercy of 2016 (I think). I’m excited for people ... more »

Best kept secret in cleaning. I’ve heard of guys who detail cars for a living buying the gallon jugs of this stuff and trying to find who makes it for Suzuki.
