Ahhh...thank you Mr. Ty, faulty memory, yes.
Could be mistaken, but wasn't the '78 a 370? The '79's being a 400? Just curious, the collective will know.
I would second the Astro idea.
What would you like to know?
Don't recommend the Bultaco front hub. No surprise there... There is a 490 Maico with the KYB conventional setup around here, works pretty well.
Hey Davey, would you bring Roy to the phone? He could best answer this, he's seen all sides.
Interesting swingarm. Looks like the top shock mounts have been relocated also, and the "76 rear wheels have the brake hub on the left side, prompting that odd cable setup unique to them. Nice scoot. Have a pic with the side plates off? Side note: Is ... more »
Clear Channel steps up to the plate. Coors and Camel on board. Or Jam Sports.....that was good...
What a great project! I had a TR5 MX a while ago that was fun for TT's and scramble outings of the flat track sort. The thing I wanted to change most was the foot peg position. They were too far forward and high. But I find Rickman framed bikes the same ... more »

As is, where is?
Yeah, I know Rob, just day dreaming now. Still laugh to myself at the glee in Carla's voice as he was telling Soren and I his tale from Namur that year at the French MXdN. (Villars d Ecot ?) The quick beer stop....
Hmmm, always wanted to ride a 500GP at Namur.

FWIW: I was there for the teardown of JMB and Jeff's bikes. For whatever reason (can't recall) Yamaha chose the Vegas round to ask for the inspection. The bikes were stripped to bare frames and swingarm. Both frames were stock yet looked very different ... more »
You will want the 110/100-18.
