One thing for sure, the ktm basket, hub, pressure plate and belville spring and fibers are far superior to anything I've seen on a Japanese bike, even better than a lot of aftermarket stuff also

I've tightened one down light that, not too tight. Then spin the crank via the conrod and tap the crank ends with a dead blow hammer at the same time... often hear a little crack as it seats and then spins freely.

So only suzuki and Yamaha sell bikes with cable clutched now? If needing a cable is a show stopper, really does limit options.

It really amazes me, that a year after it happened, a bunch of dudes are still bent out of shape that a woman had an opinion about her husband and his job.

Its the opposite, if the shock is too soft comp damping, when you land the back end is low and the front wheel hits rhe ground and the forks have the wrong angle off attack, so they start to flex vs compress if that makes sense?

Paging Luxon. We chatted ages ago when I had RMs, and made some measurements but there were higher priorities

Added reply in a thread Help With AER Forks 6/23/2022 5:36 PM

A lot going on here, but harsh feeling on slap down landings is often attributed to poor shock setting..... at least, that's what a showa factory trained tuner with multiple ama titles told me

Tomac is a better sand rider than Herlings is a supercross rider. For motocross, I'd have it around even. But let's face it, Tomac has to race professionally 29 weekends every season and I am sure Tomac doesn't give an F.

Pretty crazy world that two retired boxers would fight for hundreds of millions, yet two retired mx racers might race for just a hundred grand.
