For an article I wrote recently I spoke with one top rider who actually sprays a sticky substance on his hands and then immediately puts on his gloves. I think it's Mueller's spray. His gloves are basically glued on. But he gets new gloves every single ... more »

He missed five rounds of SX way back in 2012 (collarbone, I believe). Before that you have to go all the way back to 2007 MX on the 250 where he missed a few rounds. He missed very few races.

Jimmy Weinert (1976), Pierre Karsmakers (1974) and Jeff Ward (1985) all won only one race to win the championship. In 1985, 8 different riders won (most ever in a season) and the season had 11 races!

Evidently some people do. But I asked and I respect your opinion. As a story teller, what I find interesting is that a guy who hasn't raced professionally in 7 years still draws this much buzz.
