Added reply in a thread Best tires for my bike? 7/6/2020 12:05 PM

One good way to decide is to go to a local race with similar soil and check out what the most prevalent tire is. That will get you pretty darned close. The other option is much more expensive but practically foolproof. Try a bunch of different tires ... more »

Would you would prefer no racing at all? They are racing under some very out of the ordinary circumstances. Let's cut them some slack.

Honestly, my favorite part was watching them flattrack it in a few corners. It was something different and fun to watch.

I am 6'3" and my go to modifications are: Renthal RC High bars (You want the least amount of sweep you can tolerate to open the rider compartment) Move bars forward (Method depends on the make and model of bike. On one particulary cramped bike I used ... more »

Or maybe it is just not an issue. Other than the photos in this thread I have never seen one broken off. Honestly, I am very surprised that radiators and rotors and levers survive tip overs and crashes as well as they do and they are far more exposed ... more »

Added reply in a thread Japanese manufacturers, can we have an honest conversation about your chain guide mounting please? 2/19/2020 10:01 AM

The manufacturers definitely have the expertise to mount the guide better. That makes me think that the minimal welds were intentional. This would allow the guide to break off and cause zero damage to the swingarm if it made contact with or got caught ... more »

I'm 6'3" so not quite in your league. I have tried bar risers, taller bars, taller seats and lowered pegs. The worst mod was the taller seat. It really messed up the cornering. Went back to a stock seat. Lowered pegs offered very little difference when ... more »
