Reply to Help decide: KTM EXC/XC 150 2020 TPI vs KTM SX150 2020 1/4/2021 7:55 AM

I do partially agree with this. I moved from a 250xc to the 150sx, but that was solely for the endurance aspect of the hare scrambles. At 37yo 5'10" and 165 lbs no gear, the bigger bore bikes felt overpowered and tiring for me after 2+ hours of racing. ... more »

All I can say is I’ve been on a 2018 SX150 for two seasons now, and absolutely love it. I race hare scrambles here in the Midwest USA + a handful of practice mx days. I personally always prefer an MX bike with a few ‘woods’ mods over and XC bike. My ... more »

I'll throw in a vote for the 150sx. I ride hare scrambles, in Michigan- intermediate class. When I ride for fun it's 70/30 single-track/mx. I've used a different bike each of the past three seasons- a YZ250f, a KTM 250xc, and a 150sx. This will be the ... more »

I bought this one last year too. Love the hat, but do wish it had a bigger brim and maybe vented a bit better. Also, it seems pretty tight around the dome. probably going after a straw hat this year.

Anybody remember the Dodge D 50 (Mitsubishi Mighty Max)? I’ll have to see if I can dig up a pick when I get home. Reg cab, reg box, 5-speed 4-banger. Didn’t even need a ramp to load my 1997 CR125. Loved the mini trucks when I was younger. Over the years ... more »

“The #5 slide is a must do to really make this setup work.” I’ve heard this. Might have to give it a try.

Negative. ‘18’s have the S4 stock. I just picked up an S1 to test, since I’m maxed out lean on the provided needles. When I first got my 18 it had a nasty blubber, but more towards the mid. Kept testing needles pos until I got to the 42-74 #1. Any richer ... more »

Just picked up an 2018 150sx for off-road this year. Added handguards, skidplate, brake snake, and FMF Turbine Core 2.1. Anyone know if the XCw tank will fit the SX?

Hey Micahdogg, been reading through your build and it triggered some PTSD from a nearly identical build I did a couple of years ago. Started with a what looked to be a decent (maybe a bit generous) 03, with a recently reworked head but seized crank. ... more »
