They are more like a dance partner then an inanimate object. Roll the front wheel over, pause a bit, let the stand roll back against the frame, slightly lift on the rear fender while sliding it home........ haha. They don't work on all bikes ether, depends ... more »

This needs to happen. Awesome idea.

You don't need to satisfy both sides with the current setup. The casual fan isn't paying to watch so the amount of casual fans actually tuning in currently is virtually nil. DV was spot on, the only way pandering to the casual fan works to "grow the ... more »

Snow has melted enough to take the bike out and try it this weekend. Dealer finally able to get info from Honda Canada on the reflash, but they had to order the harness to complete it so I will be riding it as is for now. See how bad it is and might ... more »

I don't doubt that a vortex does cure the issues, but not really looking to spend another $900 before trying the reflash.

Anyone in Canada able to get the reflash done? Did your dealer know anything about it?

So you're saying it does make a difference in the production cost of a dirt bike? The more you make the less cost per unit and all that??

silly

Appreciate the in-depth response. Looks like we have a similar background but looking at it from different perspectives. Looks like we are saying the same thing? “I captured initial factory tool up for a production run in "factory overhead costs." Increased ... more »

You should do some reading on economies of scale in a manufacturing environment. It is absolutely true in this scenario each bike that comes off the line is cheaper for the manufacturer then the one before it. -edit, for a given model run..... You are ... more »

Ha, that line of questioning could apply to the yellow bikes as well. Even at $8500 msrp, it is still $500 cheaper then a 21 RMZ at msrp.

Despite where the 21 finished in all the shootouts, every one of them commented it is better then the 17-20’s.

They would be able to sell the S for cheaper most likely because the R&D and tooling costs would have been amortized over the planned 4 year cycle of the 17-20 bikes.

Yep, and proved that to be the case by ending up on the ground how he did. He is a bit of a conundrum, pretty good speed this year, has the ability/experience to force the issue with Vince like he does with almost every pass he makes, but no race craft ... more »

I agree, the funny part in my mind is Barcia is the guy that had the ability to deal with it properly. Could have torpedoed him in the next corner which was the best corner on the track to do so. The rule book is pretty clear but is rarely referred to ... more »
