Yes that is normal. the cable adjustment will move it in or out for clutch lever play.

Been using BelRay fluids since the 70s, remember the white 8oz bottles ? Ha I do, grabbed a bottle of what I thought was 2stroke oil. Ha seized the 78rm250 and realized latter I grabbed LT200 shock fluid instead of the premix. Still Learning as Beeny Hill would say.

When the rear axle, swing arm bolt and front sprocket shaft are in a strait line, that is the tightest point for chain slack. I do this on some bikes to find the correct chain slack. Different size sprockets and chain lengths can change the chain slack ... more »

Looks like they will work, but they look 1/2" taller? I do not know how to post picks of mine. I modified mine back in 87-88 like the factory guys. Before the wide peg aftermarket movement.

I bought new OEM pegs for my 87 KX500. Then I cut the mounts out of center and split the ends of old pegs. I welded the old pegs to new pegs for width. A bought 1/4" front and rear spacing.The hardest part was welding up the wallerd out holes and round ... more »
