Here she is! Along with the front end off of an '06 YZ125. Can't wait to swap these onto my '02 and find out what all the hype is about.

I always look forward to Pit Bits, but this one went above and beyond. So cool!

Can't wait to hear how the SSS swap works for you. I just scored a set on eBay, I also snatched up an Ohlins shock!

Been a while since I've posted an update, but progress is often very slow with spinal cord injuries so there hasn't been a whole lot to report until now. Lately she has had a lot more stability in her hips. Her function and feeling stops around the belly

I'm bummed that Team USA is out of it, but Sipes is on a roll and just may pull it off. What a cool event, the terrain looks incredible there.

Added reply in a thread Moto vs. MTB 8/28/2015 2:54 PM

I've always gone through phases where I switch between moto and MTB. I start to get burnt out with the cost, driving distances, time spent loading/unloading the truck, doing bike maintenance, etc. and switch to MTB for a while. If you're having more ... more »

I don't even remember what all they had going on. But there I was, with a mechanical engineering degree, scratching my head thinking I'm not smart enough to ride that contraption.

Ken O'Connor's YouTube videos were a big help while I had my YZ250 apart, he seems to do nice work. Looks like it's almost time to mix up some gas! I remember seeing that Indian last year at the IMS museum, trying to figure out what all those controls ... more »

It's so terrible to hear this. These injuries are so tragic and unforgiving. I sincerely hope Mickael can make a strong recovery, and I hope he's getting great care and support. Get well soon, Mickael!

There are deals to be had there if you do a little research. I'm more of a tool snob than most, and there's certainly plenty of junk at HF, but that little pneumatic stapler works great for what the OP is trying to accomplish.

Call up someone like Guts Racing or MotoSeat and I'm sure they will make you a cover in any of the colors they offer. That eliminates any guess work or poor fitment. FWIW my Guts Racing seat cover and foam have been fantastic, and I would definitely ... more »

I got a cheap pneumatic stapler at Harbor Freight (#68019) after my manual Arrow stapler wasn't cutting it. That little harbor freight stapler packs a punch.

Wow, that looks incredible! Nice work. Clean and simple. Might take a second look at that master link clip though.

My dad and I went to the Ironman national last year. It was a mudder, but we had a blast. You will be driving to the track thinking you're in Texas, flat and boring. But the track is actually in a really nice hilly/wooded area that isn't like the surrounding ... more »

I remember him racing the 65 and 85 classes in TORO and TCCRA regularly, maybe before he switched to moto? He has always been fast!

Thanks, everyone. We've been struggling to repeat the same success on the spin bike since the first video I posted, but a couple days ago she managed to do 5-8 complete revolutions in a row, all on her own, and she did that 3 times. She also had a good ... more »

I'm in the same boat. I quit riding for about 5 years while I earned my degree. Now I finally have some disposable income and free time, so I fixed up an '02 YZ250 and really can't imagine much more that I want out of a bike. The silver frame and blasted ... more »

That's a cool idea. I wonder if there is a local non-profit that could organize a raffle or something? Dungey does an event every year to benefit St. Jude's, called the MN Major. Maybe they would have some ideas. http://fundraising.stjude.org/site/TR/Ride/Ride?pg=entry&fr_id=34560 ... more »
