Really? What county are you in? I'm in San Diego County and I'm continually impressed with CalTrans upkeep of our roads. We had major winter storms pass thru last year and wash away a lot of our roadways and they were out there fixing them ASAP. I live ... more »

Lower bars put a lot more strain on my lower back to be 'bent over' when in the attack position, and the transition from seated to standing is harder. Taller bars 'come up to meet me' if you will, resulting in more comfort, control, and less lower back ... more »

I'm 6'1" with a 'long torso' and I went with CR Highs for the first time with my current bike. Prior to that I always just ran what the bike came with. Oh man, huge different and waaaay better. For you taller guys, don't discount having a set of bars ... more »

I too grew up in South Shore MA (Raynham / Taunton) and would ride the sand pits in Freetown and Lakeville. We'd ride the rail road tracks from Taunton to Freetown, park our bikes behind the packie (pull the spark plug wire so no one steals your bike),
