Nope but now I do. Thought I was in KTM Dominance thread. Regardless, down with all things named Cooper.

Good for KTM for competing for the championship. Bad on KTM for doing it with Cooper Webb.

Then he should have stayed in the 250s.

Cooper can’t help it, it’s in his nature. Cooper is the scorpion: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Scorpion_and_the_Frog .

Forgot KR rode for Suzuki.

KTM does one thing, they race. Every single bike in their lineup is performane oriented, even their adventure bikes. No other manufacturer can claim this.

Really interisting that Husqvarna has done better than both Honda and Yamaha combined. Have to be honest, I didn’t think Suzuki had a single win, are they all motos?

Yes but I remember KTM 125 riders taking on 500 riders in Europe in the 80s and doing pretty well.

Regardless, I like that model and would own one if looking for a bike.

I remember that whole period. McGrath rode the same bike his whole time at Honda but updated with the current plastic. He then went to suzuki(?) and finally KTM. The KTMs were always powerful but their suspensions were suspect. The shock and “euro” handling ... more »

I think KTM could turn Tomac into a supercross champion. I don’t think you understand how difficult it was for KTM to get to the Decoster era. It’s more than just the rider.

In 90 I bought a KTM and it was a great bike. Your bike is better than mine but it’s also the bike that drove McGrath into retirement. I like your bike but I think your statement is a bit strong.

How do you show-off?

Added reply in a thread Maico Comeback? 4/5/2019 8:32 AM

Why, MAICO never left. Sometimes, if you’re really lucky, when you flip the switch in the bathroom to clear the air, you might be turning on a MAICO.

It’s a fact that when the economy turned downward the Japanese held what they had and stopped developing new products. People should be happy the motocross sector didn’t follow the 600 sport bike sector. This opened the door for KTM. KTM did the opposite ... more »

I think MM does a better job in English than I could do in French.

Added reply in a thread KTM Domination 4/1/2019 11:41 AM

The Japanese have significantly more resources than KTM. At any moment they can redesign their bikes, if they wanted to. I guess nobody remembers when Honda’s took almost everything, from the late 60s until McGrath left? I also remember when KTM was ... more »
