Added reply in a thread TRIUMPH Announces Coming Line Of MX and Enduro Bikes, Carmichael to Test 7/25/2021 8:54 PM

Cannondale built an awesome product and then F’ed it up at the last minute with horrible engine tuning. Elements of that bike are still around today, just look at a modern Yamaha. Triumph knows how to put a final product together and has experience racing ... more »

When I ride, I hope to ride like this, like Johnson, like Schwantz.

When Webb is competing for a position, side by side, he likes to run the other wide. Whatever he is doing, he has a history of trying to put his competition in a disadvantage to force them to break their momentum. Maybe that is what he was trying to ... more »

Must not be “bass-ackwards” and “stupid” then?

Added reply in a thread Dealing with people when selling a bike 7/8/2021 10:38 PM

You explained what the bike means to you and the value it has, to you. That doesn’t matter to these people. You are obviously experienced at selling used bikes, you do it every year. Why do you expect people to see the value in the bike that you do?

Added reply in a thread Front Brake Lever on bicycle 7/8/2021 10:14 PM

I tried it and did not like it. I primarily use the front brake but when I use the rear, corner entrances, corners, or to get control, I need precise control giving confidence. When I swapped I lost confidence because I could not get that precision I ... more »

I grew up at 3,500’. 1.5 hrs away were mountains from 7,000 -13,000’. Skiing was easy, but running at 7,000’ was pretty tough. I also watched athletic people move to where I grew up and struggle. The differences in altitude is about the same that you ... more »

Go to Denver from Kansas and run, not jog 1 mile. Your body will likely crash either during or right after the run. The last time I lived in Colorado I went from sea level to Colorado. I gave myself 4 weeks to acclimate and then I started jogging. After ... more »

Altitude advantage is pretty massive. When I was younger I trained at medium altitude and ran 2 miles at around 12 min. Going to sea level I was sub 10 min. Going to high altitude was disastrous.

Added reply in a thread MX Geoff's Past Prediction of KTM Dominance 5/2/2021 9:59 PM

What KTM did is strategically plan. During a downturn, the theory is that you invest in your products and put out new models. The Japanese did not and instead went into defense, and protected their bottom lines. This alone allowed KTM to close the performance ... more »

Added reply in a thread Webb Is The Outdoor Favorite 5/2/2021 9:52 PM

He put in a strong performance, no doubt. His signature moves, it seems, is blocking or running his target wide in corners. There isn’t any contact but the other has to shut off. If they learn to stop him from doing that or start doing it to him, the ... more »

It's all fair including the parts where he targets Dungey. He didn't want to take him out, he just likes the special feeling he gets inside when he passes the champ. He did it one time clean and three times dirty. If Dungey comes back, He might get to ... more »

You are also forgetting that Dungey could have done it to Tomac. Odd that you are praising Tomac's restraint when he really didn't show any.
