They didn't give me sedation until after I came to. I mean, I didn't "come to" in the sense that I suddenly woke up from a nap feeling all peppy and energized. I was hardly responsive upon awakening from my coma of five days. I've been told my eyes didn't ... more »

Whoa, same thing happened to me! Complications from the TBI left me with a subdural hematoma, and a couple weeks into my hospital stay, I apparently tried to get out of bed to use the restroom. I stood up, probably tried to walk, and fell flat on my ... more »

Malachi, thanks for sharing. The anger is probably a combination of everything, including the injury. Personally, I haven't had anger issues since my injury, but it is extremely common after TBI. That's not to say that I haven't had other issues, though. ... more »

Wow, I got a lot more replies than I thought I would. I guess other people have had head injuries as well, or just, you know... bad injuries. Kenny, chill out a little. I get it, you don't have to be rude about it. It's just that I've had bad experiences ... more »

So guys, I need some input from someone who has suffered a debilitating head injury, or TBI. A mild concussion doesn't count. TBI is essentially a concussion, but far worse. To put things into perspective, I was in a coma for five days after my motorcycle ... more »

For the first time in 6 years, the blue angels are back for the air show in my state. I'm not sure if air shows are a big deal where you guys live, but here in Alaska, thousands upon thousands of people go every two years when it is held. We're kind ... more »

MxKing funny you mentioned that about the gas hose, because that's exactly what I did last night. Wasn't even thinking about washing it actually, I was just worried about dust. Thanks for the responses guys, sounds like it's ok to pressure wash it, definitely ... more »

Is it ok to pressure wash this area underneath where the the gas tank sits? It's really dirty and I need to clean it before opening up the engine, but it looks like the area where all the wires are housed. I'm only using an electric pressure

I'd really like to know if the air filter is different on the 2017 model. It will influence my decision to buy one, because I already have five air filters for my still-pristine 2014 model. If they do take the same air filter I'll sell my 2014 right now, but otherwise...

Here's a better picture, it's got another vent tube coming out the top there. So this is the quad vent?

Wow, that's what I wanted to know. I didn't know that vents were for the gas in the bowl, as far as I knew it could've been a vent for a different section. By the way, it is a quad vent carb. It is only hard to tell because the carb is caked in dirt, ... more »

Thanks for the recommendation but I'm not interested in mods or having somebody else repair it. I'm either going to repair it myself or buy a new carb. Just looking for "expert" advice.

Unfortunately digger the part arrived today and it is waaay too big. Your memory must be faulty because this is nowhere near 2.5 mm. I'm going to have to try something else. Look at the size difference.

The one on the right is 2.5 mm. Anybody ... more »

That's a very good point. In fact, I'd be interested in knowing what size barb and hole to drill. It is a 2.5 mm hole, I believe. This information could come in handy.

I appreciate the offer, and will certainly take you up on that if the part that digger suggested doesn't fit well. I ordered a couple of them, and if they fit well then I won't need to drill it. But if I do need to drill, I won't hesitate to ask you. ... more »

Thanks everyone, you're all very helpful. Without your help, I probably would have resorted to buying a new carb, because I didn't know about any of these things. Digger, I ordered a couple of those. I hope they fit. If not, I'll resort to toyota's method. ... more »

I considered something like this but my confusion turned me away from it. I don't understand how this would work. Is that the right size? The hole is 2.5 mm large and 1/16 of an inch is about 1.6 mm. How would installation work? Wouldn't I have to drill ... more »
