Since you have a 250 2 stroke go with the 350. I have both and ride the 350 just like a 2 stroke. Super easy to switch between the two. Get a 2 stroke air cage for it and run the vented side cover.
I started out on Kawasaki with a 1985 KX80. When I started racing I got upgraded to a 1997 KX80 then went to a 1997 KX 125 and never felt comfortable with it. A local dealer asked me to ride one of their 1998 RM 125’s and instantly gelled with it. Moved ... more »
Yes. Said he can only program if he has one of the bikes in the shop at the time and has to take the ecu to the KTM dealer down the street from him to get it unlocked. Seems kinda sketch to me since it’s only $100 and who knows if it’s even as good of ... more »
I love it, but out of the 10 maps I only like 2 and it’s the max power map and the just slightly less power map so all those options and I leave it on one setting all the time. If I only have one with the stock ecu and it’s the same as twisted max power ... more »
I have many hours at 3P with this jetting and it’s always been great there.
I called and asked. He said he takes them to the KTM dealer and has them unlocked. So for $100 you get your ecu unlocked and a tune. I’m tempted to send mine there to get it unlocked and see how his tune is then send it to twisted and have them put their ... more »
I never tried them. I talked to a local suspension guy about them and when I was asking questions he would read word for word off race tech’s site about stuff so I knew he wasn’t my guy. I did get mine revalved and they were better, but I went with cone ... more »
I don’t know.
It works on my 350. It doesn’t work if I start the bike and rev it at all tho, it does as you’ve described. If I ride to the track then shut the bike off and restart it then hit both buttons and hold it works.
This is correct.
I swapped a twisted development ecu in and everything you described about the 350 is no longer there. It’s not even close to the same bike anymore. I didn’t really have any complaints before I swapped (I have 3 hours on the ecu and 33 on the bike). I ... more »
Ride the 350 likes it’s a 2 stroke and it rewards you. Swap out the vented side cover and the 2 stroke air cage the bottom end and throttle response come back. As for the suspension everyone that hates it doesn’t take the time to actually set up the ... more »
That really sucks, I’m sorry. Mine isn’t long for the world either and it’s super hard to watch.
Something I noticed on these bikes (KTM/Hus/GG) is if the steering stem isn’t tight enough it will cause this. I run mine tighter then spec. so the bars don’t turn all the way by themselves when it’s on a stand and I bump the bar. You can also run the ... more »
That’ll do it. After reading your other post I was like something else has to be wrong. Chances are that they had something else in that tank that shouldn’t have been in there. Maybe some diesel by mistake or some kind of oil they tested the pumps with. ... more »
What exactly is the jetting you have in the bike now and what did you replace? Just so we’re on the same page here.

It’s way better. Hopefully someone else that’s tried to keep stock and switched it up so it’s not just me saying that.
Drop the needle one clip.
