Well it is marketed as a race tire, not a weekend worrier tire. All of mine did that too.

The 5.5 can work, but its lean and not ideal. You can send your slide out and have it cut to a 5.0 here http://www.rb-designs.com/rb_designs_llc_013.htm for $25 which is cheaper then buying one or you can look through the thread (I want to say page 5) ... more »

Added reply in a thread 17' TC250 Jetting Help 11/22/2020 5:07 PM

Your guys that “know” apparently don’t know. We’ve had the jetting figured out for a few years now and turned these bikes into rockets. These are amazing when jetted right. I never have to mess with anything more then the air screw. https://m.vitalmx.com/forums/Tech-Help-Race-Shop,42/KTM-HUS-125-150-250-jetting-thread,1363394 ... more »

This. I’ve been riding in sand the last few months and it’s still been great with the jetting in that thread.

Per the MXA dyno the '17+ KTM makes just over 47 stock. With a PC pipe and silencer it makes 49. Personal experience on the dyno with the PC combo and u4.4 51.5hp. The previous gen ('16 and older) were making 50 stock.

Order the 14/52 and a chain, you’ll like it. I don’t really know how to describe the feeling other then it feels like it’s under sprung because the rear is free of binding or sticking. The fender shows it’s not under sprung though. Obviously you don’t ... more »

Been a min since I updated this. Basically more wiring happened then I didn't feel like working on the car for a bit, some other random things instead and a trip out of state for a wedding. I decided to take a break from wiring because I'm tired of it

Added reply in a thread Can low compression mimic some symptoms of a bad float valve? 11/11/2020 8:34 PM

What’s the compression in your 2004 that runs well? 90 seems low to me though.

Added reply in a thread 2018 250sx overhaul 11/11/2020 8:31 PM

So the difference between a new piston, 50 hour piston, and 90 hour piston is 25 psi. That’s actually not as much of a loss as I thought it would be, but it is noticeable when kicking the bike over.

If you take the switch off and plug the connector under the seat in it will be map 1, the more aggressive map. If you leave it unplugged it will be map 2, the more mellow map.

Agreed on the Amsoil, very impressed with it as well. I measured the new rings when I put them in and had about the same gap, so I'm not sure what the deal is with that. I will do a compression test later today to get solid new piston numbers to track ... more »

Added reply in a thread Very interesting demo on triple clamps. 11/10/2020 6:18 AM

If you use the same torque wrench each time, yes. A cheap torque wrench maybe not, but a higher end one that is actually calibrated then yes. Us mortals being able to feel the difference, I'd say no as well.

Added reply in a thread Very interesting demo on triple clamps. 11/9/2020 8:19 PM

Snap on, mac, Matco, cornwell, ect. All have a digital torque wrench.
