No there are a few local series/state races there, plus Vet National. And like I said, they just had an open practice a couple weekends ago on the grass/unprepped/shortened track

That's an awesome vid. 2 of my favorite riders to watch, for sure. They had a ride day on the track a couple weeks ago, when it was like that (I assume same weekend as the video.) I couldn't make it, which was a bummer. I kinda wanted to ride when it ... more »

Added reply in a thread What 2018+ bike turns and corners as well as the 06 RM250? 5/18/2020 8:18 AM

I feel like the newer KTM/Husky 250 2strokes are close and overall better. Those bikes corner very well. They maybe aren't as sharp as the RM, but that slight trade-off is worth it, since the rest of the bike is an improvement. And of course all of the ... more »

Added reply in a thread Reed switch to KTM 5/18/2020 8:11 AM

I'm kind of glad that he is finishing up the season on the KTM. Purely from a fan perspective, I did not like the looks of the MM CRF this year. Reed, to me, has always had some of the coolest looking bikes / set-ups to go along with that style. For ... more »

18 450 got a full redesign and some small tweaks in 19. Then in 20 it got some pretty big changes in the motor and frame, but it is still considered the same generation. The 18 YZ250F was of the same generation that started in 14. The 19 YZ250F was all ... more »

Added reply in a thread So, do they get ready for the Nationals? 3/13/2020 11:22 AM

I don't know but 1 thing is, the logistics just might not work for SX. Keep in mind, they usually have the stadiums rented for 2 weekends, so they can also use the dirt for Monster Jam etc. If this delay is prolonged, it might not be that easy to re-book ... more »

Added reply in a thread FC 350 or FC450 for vet A class racing? 3/13/2020 7:18 AM

Exactly. To try and simplify it as best as you can, this is what it comes down to. I personally do not like to lug and do not like the really torquey feel of a 450, so the 350 is great. Plus I can ride it how I like to ride and not get tired. But that ... more »

Looks good so far. The frame and swingarm add a nice touch too. Should be sweet, good job.

Added reply in a thread TX RACE™ Restyle Kit® for KX finally launched !! 3/12/2020 9:08 AM

I've never been much of a fan of the restyle kits. They did a really good job on this one, considering. I am not a huge fan of the stock Kawi 2 stroke plastic to begin with, but I do think this kit improves on it. Either way, it's good to finally have ... more »

Added reply in a thread Chad Reed: “Honestly, I’m retiring because I don’t like modern Supercross” 3/11/2020 5:04 AM

I see his point, but what about Nationals then? The racing there is and has always been better than SX. A lot of those tracks are as great as they always have been and are more similar to Daytona. Just kind of weird to hear a guy say that, when he is ... more »

Very cool bikes. I had a '10 that had the GYTR kit. It ran good!. I loved how it ran after that and loved the looks. Sold it when the '14 came out though.

I had a YZ250F before my 350 and honestly the 350 has way more power from mid and up, than the YZF. It's weird because since the low end is soft (compared to like a 450), you can be super aggressive but when you are in the meat of the power, it actually ... more »

Honestly, to me, when you get the 350 wound up it actually feels as fast as a 450, in a way. Just because it just revs for what seems like forever. Granted, it probably isn't and the window is higher up in the curve, but an A-rider can keep a 350 singing ... more »

Not much new for me, this year. As I posted at the end of summer, I bought this new YZ125. I have slowly added a few upgrades over the winter. So it is pretty much ready to go. And the 350 in the bg is unchanged from last year, but is probably ... more »

I love the 16-18 FC body plastics, so that was my vote. I do like the new Yams and Suzukis look too though. Not a big fan of the Kawi. KTM and Honda are a bit boring for me.

Ya for sure lol. Would be cool if a media outlet rode Sipes' 350. For how popular the 350s are with people, it would be cool to see more reviews on built ones @ping ?

If you like to rev, get the 350. I don't get tired from the 350 at all, but the added weight/inertia feel of a 450 along with the instant torque end up taking it's toll on me. I feel like I can move the 350 around more and be aggressive on it. Obviously ... more »
