Added reply in a thread TC 85 front brake way too strong problem 7/25/2019 2:59 PM

The wheel does spin freely. Last night I sanded the glaze off the rotor and it made a decent difference. I'm going to order new pads because I'm sure they have the same glaze. Yes the rubber was in the resivior and it wasn't over filled. 26 years of ... more »

Started new thread TC 85 front brake way too strong problem 7/24/2019 1:23 PM

I recently bought my son a used 18 tc85 and the front brake is way too strong. You can't even touch it without it locking up. The rotor isn't bent. I tried bleeding it a little. Could there be something else wrong? It's unusable. Strong brakes are great, ... more »

Rest in peace little man. My kids run D6. I heard about this race and how bad it was run. As a father of two who race, I can't imagine what that family is going through. I heard rumors of people going off a waterfall and some other crazy hills that A ... more »

I have a ktm 300xc. The stuff we ride here in tamaqua is pretty brutal. There's a race here in June if you want to come check it out. Then another soon after that that they basically build for people not to finish. Last year I believe 8 out of 50 finalist ... more »

You're pretty close to me(35 minutes south of you) . I switched away from a lifetime of moto though. I'm the same age as you. I live in the heart of single track country if you decide you want to try it again. Frenchy will get you dialed for moto. I ... more »

Added reply in a thread Why did you stop wearing a neckbrace? 9/25/2018 6:52 PM

I switched to woods racing. Within the first couple times in the woods I went to duck under a half fallen tree. The brace didn't let me duck. Then because I couldn't duck, the tree caught me and also couldn't bend my neck back to let the tree go. It ... more »

When I built my son's KTM 85 I had a binding issue. For me, I had the top gear (the biggest one) up side down. It would shift once or twice, then lock.

Added reply in a thread Can this be welded? 5/2/2018 4:45 AM

I've had great luck with brazing nickle pipes in the past. I did my son's a year ago and it's still holding. That's with repeated bashing in brutal single track. I've had to blow serious dents out of his probably 5 times also, and the braze still holds ... more »

My friend had the same issue with the same bike. It was his kill switch. It was the button itself even though it looked fine.

Not to ask a dumb question but I just came across this on a guys bike not long ago that was acting this way after he did a full rebuild. He never put the key in the new crank. I asked to see the old crank and there it was. Never drink during reassembly... ... more »

I've "raced" some halftime shows at monster truck events and they've used soda. It's scetchy to say the least. It has grip on perfect conditions but the problem we had is if someone went down in a turn and spilled a little fuel. The gas would make the ... more »

I started with a tungsten but I couldn't get used to the thickness. I ended up with a rubber one. At a glance they look the same but it's way more comfortable for me. The tungsten served it's purpose in the wedding and I still have it, but I never wear ... more »

Thank you for posting. I loved this documentary. I've always been really into space program history. Back in 7th grade (I'm 41) I had a class called Earth and space. I've been hooked ever since.

That's great! My kids are 10 and 12. If they don't lose the knives in the next couple years, they'll probably have them forever. We are in the woods for one reason or another about 5 out of 7 days a week. I think they'll love them.
