Travis brought people to the sport much like Deegan. Travis did it with a thumbs up and a smile. But similar effects. The sport stayed the same after.
As much as Rossi drew in the crowds for MXGP, once they leave the sport stays the same.
As for Jetts Draw. He doesn't get paid the most in the sport for being bad for sponsors
My parents and almost everyone I know know who Travis Pastrana is. Brian Deegan? No one who doesn't own a dirt bike knows who that is. And TP did it while being humble, likable and respectful. Where did this idea come from that being a douchebag is the only way to attract fans?

I often hear this kind of thing when discussing MMA but in that sport being a “draw” can get you somewhere by being given opportunities you didn’t really earn. The good news is no amount of popularity or “clicks” will get him ahead results wise in this sport.
