Thanks! KTM foot pegs from '04-15 or so, all fit these year TM's. Can be readily found on ebay. I used the TM pins and springs. Both of the TM's I have came from the previous owner with IMS pegs, this one had one that was bent/mangled. I may swap foot pegs between bikes in the future.
Ride report?
I had a few small bits to finish. I added grey frame tape, and used an eletrical cable holder for the front number plate and brake hose guide. Also needed some heat tape for the right side panel to prevent melting on the silencer. So now, about ready to go.
I've ridden around my back yard a little. I'm still nursing a knee injury as well. I need to fine tune the jetting now. Has a good mid range hit with a narrow powerband. Tough to jet for Minnesota fall and spring weather. 90 today, 50's later this week for a high. Hope to test again this weekend.
Have fun man, nice work and great looking bikes.
Always liked this gen TM, had a local shop I had a couple of YZ/CRs from become a TM dealer around this time (they still sell them now I think), they always (understandably) have that vibe of being special bikes.

Gorgeous bike and great job on the restoration. I am just finishing my 2000 300EN and it was funny reading this thread as you came across all of the same issues I had. Be thankful you don't have the 50mm Zokes. Impossible to find parts for.
I'm just a bit north of you, do you race an D23 off-road? I would love an MX version to match this EN. There was one for sale in Winnipeg a couple years ago, I should have bought it.
Wow, nice work, that looks great! The 01's were one of my favorite years, they just looked fast sitting still.
If you're looking for any NOS OEM parts I have all sorts of stuff that is out of production from graphics kits to swingarms back to the 90's.
Hey 👋 new here. I just bought the tm racing bike this last week! Great bike but having trouble finding parts. Could you share a couple places you were able to find stuff? Thank you. Ride looks sick my vin ends with 113.

Welcome! Dave at Get Dirty Dirt Bikes in California has great customer service and very knowledgeable. Between him, ebay, and just knowing what parts interchange, most things are available.
Hope to see some posts and pictures on your bike soon!
You might have some trouble getting parts with the tariffs. I bought a lot of stuff from Europe for mine.
Ahh okay. What was the website? Looking for lower end kit right now
Small update, last summer I attempted to repack the exhaust silencer. It was beyond repair and didn't match the subframe. I sourced another used subframe on ebay and ordered a new Pro Circuit silencer. Projects like this are never finished. I Still have very little ride time on the bike, need to dial in jetting with properly packed exhaust now. Bike runs good, brakes suck compared to a modern bike. May try rebuilding master cylinders and calipers next.
Next plan is to relace the bent rear rim. I've been collecting parts for my second TM build, which I'll be combining used parts from while building a new set of wheels for TM # 2. Watch for a new project bike build thread soon!
This era TM and the Spanish built Gas Gas of the same era look very similar in lots of ways, I know GAS GAS used a TM built motor for their 125 models until around 1994.
What a cool thread! I've been tinkering with a friend's TM250MX bike. We thought it was a 2001 model. He ordered a set of headset bearings but they do not fit at all lol. Seems to be the theme with certain TM bikes lol. The bearings say they fit 2001 models but they are way smaller than the bearings in the frame.
Thanks and great looking bike! Looks like 2003 model?
I tried finding a legit picture of a 2003 model but all of the pictures look different so I don't know which is stock or not lol. It seems the European market would get updates quicker than the bikes in the other markets. The bike in my garage has gold Ohlins forks and ohlins rear shock. Some other 2001 bikes that I've seen have black forks. Not sure which is correct. Then guys say the 10th digit in the VIN is the year, others say the 12th digit and then others say TM didn't put the year into the vin lol. The bike is very powerful and looks great but buying parts is a pain in the butt. All I know is that we have a set of headset bearings that supposedly fit a 2001 TM but they are way smaller.
You could order the bikes back then with different forks (and thus clamps). Paoli conventional, Ohlins, Paoli USD, Marzocchi 50mm etc...
