I loved their work in Fargo and The Big Lebowski

Yeah? Well, that's just like, your opinion, man.

You know, given the nature of all this new, uh you know . . .  this could be a a lot more, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, complex . . . . I  mean it's not just . .. . it might not be just such a simple, uh, you know . . . . Hasn't that ever occurred to you, man? Sir?

Prepare yourselves for the social media warfare between Coenen and Deegan before this race. Lucas is the only one that seems to play into Deegan’s game of social media clowning and he ultimately has made Deegan look bad to his crowd every time Deegan ducked racing MXoN against him.

I expect the biggest “drama” to come from those two since the Lawrence camp aren’t playing into Deegan’s poking of the bear stuff (which I think is the better choice, tbh)

You're not completely wrong though, the Coenen brothers are not shy to have a mental battle. They don't back up for anyone, as they should 😁

Will be interesting to see what form he is in, he wasn't happy last time being out of shape I think he said. Champ mentality 😄

He's been training at Lommel the past days. I think he's serious about it 😁

It'd be pretty cool if he came over for Southwick, too, though. Overlooking the entertainment with Deegan, dude's kinda good in the sand.

Smets was indeed the hard working, showing tons of grit guy, starting MX at age 18 (EIGHTEEN), on a CR500. Jumping on a Husaberg enduro bike and falling in love with the 4 stroke power and winning 5 world championships!

But how gifted do you need to be to become WC in MX, when you enter the sport at 18? That is the age some of his competitors where already racing GPs.

About Belgian wildcards, I think Desalle was the best with 2-2 in Unadilla. Everts went 5-5 back in 97 in Unadilla, struggling a bit with the production bike.

Everts scored 3/5 in Unadilla (1997), if I remember well...

DeSalle got a third in a moto in 09 as well. 2013 he did pretty good too for how stacked that field was when he got here. I want to say Everts went 3-5 or 5-3 he had the pace but crashed in one of the motos. He talked about how the Americans went balls to the walls from the drop of the gate.

2nd fastest in practice  to JS, 3rd in the 1st Moto.

Pranged in the second moto, and thought of his Real Job, that of the GPs, and stopped.

'Big Ken' did a National, out of a van and with a borrowed bike.

I wish some top US riders would have a go at a GP or two. But of course, 'they don't need to' will be trotted out...........

I do hope Tomac eventually has a go, as he's , at times, expressed a desire to do.

Exactly this. Always a lot of talk about Euros coming to the AMA nationals for a one-off and "not cutting it". Still waiting for a top AMA rider to do the trip over for a one-off GP; Jeff Stanton at Japan (1992?) must be the last one.?

My biggest fear is they take out championship contenders going balls to the wall to try prove something.

As long as they don't go bam bam, it's fine. None of the are known to ride aggressive against others.

If the other riders determine they want to try and catch them but can't hang and crash, it's on that rider. Part of knowing your limits. I can see Deegan not letting it go for example.

I hope you're right, I can just see them going balls to the wall for a pass and not making the corner and wiping Prado or Jett out.

I don't think it will be aggressive but just out of control.

De Wolf’s still building on the 450, but man he does some special shit that just leaves you awe struck in the same way Jett does.

They are both in their own championship hunt, so don't see them doing things to stupid.

But it's racing, anything can happen in the heat of the moment of course.

That third place on a stock Honda was impressive!

Really excited about the next few years of racing in the US.

We had the RC/Reed/Stew era, then the Ryans, then the Eli/Roczen/Webb generation which lasted longer than most. But if Jett and Deegs stay fit and Lucas hits his potential and moves to the States full time, we could be in for some incredible seasons. People underesimate just how young this kid is, and could well have won the MXGP title at 18 as rookie if he had started the season fit. Even Jett was 20 when he won the 450 title. Just hope Lucas can adjust to supercross as well as Prado is and keep away from bad influences when he makes the move

Absolutely not, right now it would be stupid to count him in the concersation. That said, I sincerely think Lucas can be top 3 on all 3 nationals he attend, and he will win Southwick easily. Sasha, it’s a harder question, but the way he ride at Ironman for MXON last year was impressive, even tho the best 250 guy was Valin still Sasha was insanely fast and had such an amazing technique it was beautiful to watch. Both want to go to the US as soon as possible, and ill be honest i think and i hope that Roger is pushing to get them in the US they are Belgians as him so.

I dont understand how Garcia can be that fast on a 250, man is an absolute unit i mean he is tall and really strong he must weight way too much for that fucking Kawi still he start upfront and just destroy the bike to win it’s impressive to see him ride, while Canon is really smooth and light with the bike both will be super nice to see!

So you're saying a 450 motocross champ is not an elite rider?

He is and proved it, but since the start of 2026 and seeing his results and how he behave i would not count him as a contender for this summer. Maybe im wrong and i hope so, but i cant see him be a top 3 guys consistently.

I know this sounds crazy, but would Lucas be smart to throw the title this year if his goal is to come to the US full time in the future?  Unless I’m mistaken, MX1 champions are not eligible to race 250 SX.  I would imagine that much like Roczen, Lucas would be an immediate threat for a 250 title in Supercross.  Probably not so much in the 450 class.   He’s still so young, too.

It's actually crazy that this is even a topic.. You don't give up on a 450 MXGP title just so you can race 250 SX, on top of that he is way too big for the 250 now. It would be much smarter if they'd do selected 450 SX rounds or just the first half so he can get ready for 450 outdoors. But giving up on a MXGP title is some crazy work 🤣

What a loss to MXGP for these two to come to the States. Theyre insanely talented. Lawrence's 2.0? They would have been the future of MXGP. Powers that be over there cant be too stoked.

Jett, Hunter, Deegan, Chase, Prado, Davies, Lucas, Shimoda and Jcoop.. and that's only the guys who I think can win races in the 450s 2-3 years from now. Absolutely disgusting.

Probably Tomac aswell at this point 😂
