Thanks! They have less than 24 hours to build and tarp before the rain comes tomorrow morning. So far still working on the base layer. No jumps built yet. I think the track is going to be quite a bit different from the original map.

around a 1/3 of a inch predicted which is not a ton but enough to make it messy.  looks like they'll have to build through the night tonight.

They should have this for every round. It's cool to have it on the TV as I do some chores around the house listening to some tunes.

It does really look like some decent weather. I hope they make hay while the sun is shining.

This is amazing weather for this time of year.  From the lobby in my office you can almost see into the stadium. IMG 4058 0.jpg?VersionId=4veVbXG4kD2nteTJPdl6

It is amazing that stadium had a superbowl parade running through it yesterday afternoon and look at it today - that's nuts how fast they have worked!

Hindsight is always 20/20 but how cool would it have been if they could have coordinated the two stadiums so that they could have shared the same sliding roof?  The Seahawks stadium could have been a little bit further south and put the exhibition hall on the north side, and instead of Safeco’s roof going west to east, it could have slid south to north and kept going north to cover the football stadium.

Looks like the early morning rain predicted earlier today has cleared out so now they have until noon on Friday before it starts to rain. I wonder if they’ll be able to cover it since it’s only suppose to rain Friday afternoon and clear up for the rest of the weekend.  🤞

I’m sending that link to any request I see of “how do I watch Seattle SX?”

I’m BEYOND impressed at how quickly those guys got the track built. They already have it covered with time to spare. They really are miracle workers.

In some recent wet races they left it uncovered and left big pile of dirt to spread over it at the last minute instead of trying to keep it dry from the start.

There's no point, its the lowest part of the track water is going to end up there no matter what at least uncovered it will be a more even spread.

I have wondered that every year when it looked like rain.  Seems like a huge missed opportunity, especially for someplace as wet as this.

Yep, they did that again. They’re packing the start down now.

Looks like they changed the start to go the whole length and not cut across the two other lanes?

The corporate office for the company my ex wife worked for was in a building right about there. We'd drive over a few times year in the late 90's so she could spend a couple of days in that office. They used to put us up in the Renaissance hotel on Madison and it seems like the building was just a few blocks toward the sound from there.. Loved going over there for a change of scenery and culture.

Thanks for the picture. The weather looks like it will be juuuuust fine.

I don't know why NFL stadiums outside of California and Florida aren't all domed, just for fan comfort. No way I'd want to sit in the rain in the Seattle or the snow in Green Bay to watch a football game (or a Supercross).

The areas between the lanes are the lowest points and I’d try my hardest to keep the moisture there and keep the entire race surface as dry as possible. Minimizes amount of areas to repair using the dry dirt under the tarp.

Attending a snow game in GB should cost extra, magical experience

Track actually looks drier than years past. During the media scrum, they said the only change they made from the track map was turning the SX triple into a double in case of rain.
