Nah. Chase is one of the strongest and most durable riders. How many times has he hit the dirt and got up and still finished the race? He trains his ass off and one of the few times he is actually hurt we all want to crucify him? Nah he gets a pass this time.

We really don’t know much about what’s been been going on with Chase so it’s ok to speculate, as long as we’re clear that that’s what we’re doing. But pronouncing with cocksure certainly that he’s a quitter who hasn’t been actually hurt? Sounds to me like people who don’t actually know anything and are just talking shit.
People have made fun of the "banged up" thing and the return timeline being set from the beginning but this fits concussion perfectly. Wonder how many he's had? Was probably told next time you have concussion you have to take minimum of this many weeks off and that's what he's done. Pure speculation because moto is dumb about injury info and even more so when it comes to head injuries, but either way hope he's healthy and ready to rip.

Many, if not most of these rider contracts from endemic sponsors (OEMs, gear brands, etc.) have a performance clause, that if the rider does not line up after X amount of races, they will not be paid until getting behind the gate again.
I am NOT supporting any drivel spewed by he-who-shall-not-be-named, but technically that point regarding Sexton is likely correct, although not for the juicy, dramatic, Jr. High-hot-gossip reasons that people could think.
And what did that contract promise to him in return?

If this is all just concussion protocol, I don't understand the silence since Fox. Everyone would "get it" then. The silence just makes for a lot of extra speculation generated that could have been avoided. We're now talking about him hating the bike, hating KTM, the Kawi deal, his sponsors, not getting paid.....all I'm saying is a little openness and honesty goes a long way and absolute silence just breeds conspiracies.

We may be curious, but saying we’re letting shit slide implies we can do something about it. We can’t. To tell us how it is you’d have to know how it is. You don’t.
