I know you guys love polls LOL!!

But I'm curious on individual preference. I prefer MX due to it's hardcore old school history. And it's the birth of current moto today. As for SX, I feel it's turning in ballet. You can't touch any other rider without fear of fines or losing points. I feel it's lost it's touch with what once was. Rubbing is racing! Unfortunately, it looks like it's slowly making into moto (MX). Boooooo!

I hope MX sticks to it's roots and doesn't go soft like SX.

For the show aspect, if I'm taking the kid, sx.  If its me and some buddies, outdoors.  Millville is great but have be willing to move about if you want to see everything, and it can be a long day if you're heat sensitive.

Overall definitely more MX. You get 4 hours of content and racing while in SX you get 35 min of actual racing. On top of that whatever they did to the tracks in SX this year was absolutely ridiculous. BUT, I really like the first few SX races because it's the beginning of a new season and you never know what's going to happen.

I thought the SMX playoffs last year were fantastic though.

MX > SMX > SX

SX is the matrix.

MX is love.

I think this is an important distinction to make. It’s not A or B, this or that. Both serve different purposes, both are great in their own way. Personal preference is fine the bit the minute you say “I’m core and therefore think SX isn’t real racing” is the minute you lose credibility. Yes it’s changed a lot over the years including in negative ways but it’s still fucking gnarly as hell.

I prefer Mx but have never been to one. I’ve been to many SX races, including some historic ones as they’re easier for me to attend

SX used to be my favorite.....but it's become a joke at this point...nearly to the level of Monster trucks.    I found myself rooting for mud races all this year to at least mix it up.     From the practiced-to-death aerial gymnastics on repeat-o-cross tracks to the horrendous broadcast that gets dumbed down more every year and the skill killers (grates, holeshot devices, RPM lights etc etc etc).....lets not forget Shrill Christen.      It also didn't help that it was nearly 24/7 Jett exposure....not the kids fault, but it just made me sick of seeing him.   Sick of the shallow dipshit "fans" too.

To be honest, I've been just catching the highlights or results for outdoors since last year.    One dominant rider doesn't make for interesting racing....I don't care who it is.

Stuff like World two-stroke championships seems way more exciting to me.

You asked.... Wink

Now, kindly step off my lawn....

I love both. Motocross is superior though and the root core of the sport. There needs to be another motocross round and one less supercross. The racing is better in motocross in my opinion and really showcases how gnarly the sport is. There is a lot more racing as well.

If supercross keeps going the current way it is, I will lose interest. The tracks have become boring, cookie cutter, and lack creativity. There is not a lot to separate the riders anymore, especially with this new philosophy on whoops. This year was the first time in a long time I kind of lost interest in supercross, mostly because of the track designs and almost half the races being murders. There is always going to be injuries, and making these less interesting tracks isn’t going to change that.

Like I said, I love both. Anaheim 1 has been my Christmas for a very long time and too many memories to count going to supercross races. Come summertime, going and watching pros tear up Glen Helen was something else. Would love to go to more outdoor races in the future. With all that said, I just love dirt bikes.

I love sx but I’m in love with Mx. And smx is a great side piece.

My first live MX was Washougal in 96. The race where most of the MX highlights in Terrifirma were from that race. The bad Bradshaw move around outside berm for the pass. I was front and center in that corner with my bud. Our mouths fell open and we looked at each saying, did you see that! I actually made it in the Terrifirma vid. When Rich Taylor ate shite in the 2nd moto, after his hole shot no less, I was right in the apex of the corner watching. Easy to pick out as I had a knee brace on at the time. Plus the epic battles between MC and JE. My local hero Rudi Zasko jr was there for that race. Top pro up here but 5sec off the pace of the leaders down there. Awesome times! Took my son to his first a few years ago. Same place, Washougal, and was wearing my 96 event T-shirt and some dude saw it and flipped out. Said he wasn't even born then and the shirt was awesome. Still have it. Best trips ever!

There isn't a single race that I get more excited for than Anaheim 1, but as a whole, I enjoy motocross a lot more. More time is spent actually racing, and the elite guys are able to display their dominance a bit more than they can on today's cookie cutter SX tracks.

I've been to several SX events but only one National (High Point last year), and I enjoyed High Point more than any SX experience I've been to... which includes Tampa, Daytona, ATL at the old Georgia Dome, and Jacksonville back in the late '00s/early '10s. Part of my fascination may have been due to being from FL and really appreciating the rolling hills and vast nature of the track - it was just so much more picturesque than any track I've seen in FL.

MX is my favorite. SX is great because we get watch racing during the winter.
