There was no protest lodged against Anstie or Firepower Honda. I just checked with AMA officials. They also never heard anything about a potential protest until they saw it floating around on social media today.

However, Anstie's team did get a warning for not directly bringing the bike to impound after the race (I think HRC got the same warning for Hunter's bike).

Once again ama not enforcing rules. Any other sport it’s a penalty. F1 a driver doesn’t go to scales. Penalty. Nascar an official is with the car the minute it comes to a stop after the checkered. AMA IS A JOKE

Simple fact is Firepower bikes are good!! Roczon won on it and now Anstie is running up front !

You sure it wasn’t HRC Honda protesting and not star ? HRC Honda team isn’t close to the firepower team and when firepower wanted to sign Roczen they asked HRC Honda for factory parts and bonus winning money for Roczen and HRC refused . Maybe they didn’t like seeing the privateer Honda coming out on top on both time qualifying sessions .

I want to weigh in on comments surrounding HRC and our relationship with them. Its amazing - Period. Lars and Shane and their motorsports manager messaged us throughout the day and night.  As for Ken - fact check.  When Ken raced for us in World Supercross he wasn't signed with HRC and yet his HRC mechanic accompanied us - his HRC mechanic! HRC - American Honda didn't say no to supporting Ken through our program in 2023!  They were waiting on Ken and I to come to them with a proposal, I want to add, there was an extended offer of support, the level of support was unknown as they wanted to know if we were going to race together and where we were going to race.   I don't appreciate how rumours start and I am not a fan of them, they can hurt relationships and tarnish amazing feats.  Honda isn't in business to hurt their partners, they support and nurture their satellite programs.

Lastly, to squash the rumour surrounding the protest and or the rumour surrounding our motorcycles.  We didn't get a protest against us, we made a mistake not taking our bike to the holding bay straight away post race.  All top three place getters are meant to.  Its our fault as we were caught up in the celebrations.  That's it. I have been with Honda for 20 years and if you think I would jeopardise the next twenty years in the sport by cheating your grossly wrong. I didn't care to entertain this discussion until someone endeavoured to slander Honda. Please just acknowledge how great Max rode, this is the same guy who beat the best in the World at the MX of Nations, the same guy who ran top 5 at Southwick last year on a privateer bike.  He deserves your applause, not your slander or questioning - he did unreal, he was awesome.  Also remember we have one of the best ever 250 SX riders managing and testing for the team and he knows what a 250 needs to do to be competitive. He has spent less time at home and more time on the Dyno these few months to build something competitive. I have been with Honda for more than 20 years, we have won many championships and we know how to be competitive and we are blessed to have Max race the bike this season.

Anyways I just wanted to squash the rubbish regarding our relationship with HRC and American Honda.  If they were upset, why on earth would we be racing Honda this year? Seriously, think about it for a minute.  For those of you that don't know me, I own the team and I am so proud of everyone involved. You kicked arse Max.... and keep doing what you love. To end on a positive - thank you so very much to all those have that have reached out and congratulated the team, Max and I.

Where is Craig’s skill at in 450?

your question doesn’t make much sense to me. Craig was 250 champ last year and is now a 10-15 450 guy. Nothing unusual about what Anstie is doing other then he had a great day I’d say.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Nothing against Anstie or Hunter but the 250 East field is also pretty shallow? A world class rider, riding a 250, against a shallow field? It's not too surprising really.

You could say same about Phil Nicoletti? Don't get me wrong Im a big fan but 450s he struggled. 250s in the west coast he's top 10 all day

However, Anstie's team did get a warning for not directly bringing the bike to impound after the race (I think HRC got the same warning for Hunter's bike).

Only 2 and a half pages in before someone posts who actually knows something.... A record for this place.

Electric water pumps draw approx 150 watts.

So his bike still makes 1.21 gigawatts.

Some people forget that he was quite potent in SX when he first turned pro. 2010? He has had the skills since day one, time to prepare+good bike+skills=results.

Why wouldn't we appreciate Yarrive posting here?  Are you mad the BS rumors made up in someone's basement were not in any way factual and the team owner straightened it out?  I would say we are fortunate he took the time to type all of that and it's badass we have another satellite team on the podium.

That is a terrible way to check for a cheater bike.

Follow along.  Say you have a engine with  xxmm bore and xx stroke.

Just using random numbers here, You put in a 5 or 10mm bigger piston.

Say You increase rod length X mm to take up the space to achieve 250cc. Or a longer rod with smaller crank throws or pin position to avoid valve interference.

While it is in fact 250cc, the configuration is completely different.

The only way to be accurate is tear it down as you can't see the rod and crank just by pulling the head.

If you don't think people will go to that level of work, ever seen a big bore or stroker V8 except the #1 cylinder?

But its still a 250.

And i have run long stroke and offset cylinder bikes, still the right size.

As i said , it puts the size argument to bed.

Nithing else.

Yeah. A 250 will puff 250cc of air out of the plug hole no matter the dimensions. I suspect it's one of the long con rod means it's stroked crowd. I've a 125 Yamaha with a longer con rod and the number of people that think it has increased the displacement would make you worry.

Clearly a conspiracy.  The team owner and Vital MX owner trying to cover up “facts” I read on the intranet!  The truth will come out that he had av380 with both a long and short stroke with upside down piston and extra power bands.  Congrats Max and Team!  I didn’t believe the nonsense from the get go.

Um, the 450 field is just ever so slightly more talented than the 250 field.  See Christian Craig.

So what has he done to compare to Savatgy, Fernandis, M Stewart on 450’s that makes him an equal to a 250 champ or regular podium guy. He’s been in the 20’s the last three seasons overall best being 9th in 2020. Also, didn’t show top results his first couple years on the 250.  Don’t see it, that’s why I say it’s weird, but hey, he may be the modern day John Dowd good on him for never giving up. No harm, no foul, just my opinion and I know we all know the saying that goes along with that.

Thanks to the team owner for coming here and clearing things up about the 94 and also about the protest. Puts it to bed and hopefully we can agree to disagree on the rest.

As i said , it puts the size argument to bed.

Nithing else.

You must be the type who cries when they get popped for not knowing about these things called rulebooks.

It is very clear that the bore and stroke have to be the same as the homologated model. It also states there is a zero overbore allowance.

That is as clear and direct as it can get.

You're not pulling that kind of power without the finest Libyan plutonium money can buy.
