I am with you here and love all the downvotes.  How can guys here not see what happened the past three years??  It's happening again, yet we are the bad guys by simply telling the truth and not living in some fantasy land thinking Roczen can get out of his own head.  The same guy that beat Tomac heads up in Paris on a privateer Honda just rode around in 8th and got beat by a 450 rookie in his first race more than 30 seconds off the pace.

If you looked at it logically, it was obvious since 2020 that his best days were over. At least as a consistant threat to win every race or title. Yes he did show flashes of his old self here and there. I mean he did win a race with a bad case of shingles 😉, which I've seen floor one of the toughest dudes I know for days. I honestly think taking the Suzuki ride was more about money, then winning races. I believe it was the final nail in the coffin for him as a threat to win races and titles. It's a great bike for 97% of the population, but at the level the top guys ride? Blaming the bike for not being competitive will always be a way to get another factory ride somewhere else next year. The season was coming and he had to get some kind of bike dialed in. Win win for him. He choose to ride the brand he dominated on for a long time. That bike now is behind the others in technology, but makes for a great nostalgia story. If he doesn't do great it will be because the bike lacks the modern technolgy of the 6 other factory bikes. If he does win it shows that a good rider can win on anything. He basically guaranteed himself another ride by riding the Suzuki this year...win or lose.

On a side note it was really annoying on race day live with the tubby dude, the pedo looking dude in the glasses, and the Ditzy blonde reading the lines off her note pad that the producers gave her shitting on his finishes that most people would kill to have. Yes his title days are done. But he's still better than most of the guys in the main event. I honestly think he is the Aaron Rogers of motocross. There is always a reason why it's not his fault.

Last year was very bad for him, I agree. But 2021 was actually Ken's best SX season so far, people forget about that. He was really close that year, Webb was just better and a lot more consistent. He was also very solid outdoors and finished the year with the most points overall from both championships.

People make it sound like he has done nothing since his injuries, but he still got a lot of wins and always finished 2-4 in the championships except for last year. I also think it's weird that he can battle for a podium one weekend and then barely finish in the top 10 the next one, but saying that his best days are over since 2020 is just plain wrong and stupid.

After watching Eli in that sand section I really hope we get to see him rip that bike in the outdoors

That 75 second monologue by Wil with 1:45 + 1 lap to go really helped immerse me in that very last minute of racing way to go guys.

This feels a lot like Dungey v Tomac the last years Dungey raced. I think we'll see a whole season of Tomac v Sexton where Tomac will win the most battles.

The 250 class was interesting. Vialle rode incredibly well considering he has zero SX experience, would've finished on the podium without his late crash. He lost time in the whoops but everywhere else he was almost as quick as Hunter.

Deegan was surprisingly steady, 4th is a better finish than what i expected. Also kinda shows that the people that thought he should've not raced and waited longer for the debut were completely wrong.

Thrasher showd again that he is such a weird rider, 3 wins to his name but i don't think he can be considered a contender.

JMart is JMart, i think he is in the wrong class. He should've moved up because the 250 SX title push wont happen, especially on a non-factory team.

Hunter did what i expected he would do, he is just better than all the other riders and unless he himself makes mistakes he will win at least 50% of the races and get the title.

If 35pts is considered close, then ya he was close in 2021. I do realize he's had some flashes of his old self prior to his very, very well documented injuries and other "ailments" multiple times every broadcast. I must be plain wrong and stupid, because I do believe his best days are over. I would like to be wrong, but I'm pretty sure I'm not. I guess we will see how it all plays out. I just hope everyone stays healthy and we get some good racing.

Chase was disappointed during his podium interview.  He just has to realize that he is more of a threat to Eli taking a second on a night like tonight.  Chase will get more wins, if he can limit the damage when he doesn’t win I think that should worry Eli.

I think a part of Eli’s overall game is knowing when you need to be fastest.  He can cover what he needs to cover all day long riding at 90% then shift to 95% in the main.  Notice still not riding in the edge.  I remember RJ saying he was winning in his best years riding at 95%.  When you can do that you don’t make many mistakes.

Cracks me up to see some of the Eli doubters only to have him tap into the ever present beast mode and clean house again.👍 Also, one of the best races for Barcia in a while.

If I'm Vialle, all I'm doing this week is practice whoops. He lost like half a second there every single lap... His fastest sector 3 which is the whoop section is 18th fastest (there were only 4 guys in the main slower than him in the whoops) - 0.8s slower than the fastest guy (Smith) in a 4 second segment. Rest of the track he was fine and pretty much as fast as anyone but hunter.

I think even though the whoops were bad for Vialle he should be stoked knowing aside from them he’s just about a solid 2nd place guy. And if there’s a track where they’re jumpers or much less he’s good to go

Jmart not winning on a 450 with that field, he rides whats available and what he wants. Simple

That is not true, JMart had the choice between a 450 deal and a 250 deal with Club Yamaha and chose to stay on a 250.

And i'm not saying he would win on a 450. But he would maybe be able to get 3-5th outdoors. I jst don't see what the goals are for him on a 250 indoors.

I agree but you can’t improve in the whoops in a week.  It will take half the season to get it down better.

Not you're stupid. Just the fact that you said he wasn't as good since 2020 basically when 2021 was his best year statistically in sx (or pretty close with 2016). Whatever, let's hope we see Kenny more up front than battling for 9th place. A Roczen that's putting up a fight is definitely more enjoyable to watch for everyone!

Everyone on the broadcast and in the press conference acting like Eli hit the turbo boost button after the restart, his fastest lap was lap 1...
