If Tomac bags both the SX snd Outdoors titles he may opt to retire whilst on top. That would be the perfect way to end a Legendary career.
Roczen appears to be mentally fatigued with all the grind and hassle he has endured over the past 5 years. He either retires or finds a new home with another team for a last effort in 2023.
Brayton has had a very respectable career and will say goodbye. Marv may be a good fit.
Marv appears to be ready to walk away. Another decent factory deal so late in his career seems unlikely. MCR SX deal? Maybe a deal with Triump or Beta working on bike development.
Wilson will most likely be done at the end of this year.
(Here's hoping that the above riders stick around for at least another year)
If the above 5 riders do retire then that leaves 4 factory seats and a MCR SX only deal on the table.
We know Forkner, Graig, Nichols and JMart are moving up and will contribute to one of the greatest silly sessons in recent years. Its only February but it sure looks like 2023 is shaping up to be a good one.
Either way though, with JA doing so well, it puts less pressure on them to keep AC as their championship hopeful and gives them some negotiating leverage, in which case they would be able to pick who they think is the better bet. Between AC and AF, I bet they would rather keep AC unless he isn't happy.

Kawasaki has to be concerned with Forkner's being so accident prone...because they already have that (arguably) in AC.
I don't see Kawi automatically plugging him in for 2023...and I don't see any other top OEM team being overly anxious about signing him. I also don't think they'll hang onto AC9. He hasn't delivered.
I think Roczen will extend his HRC contract...on a single year basis, and I can see him retiring after 2023.
Webb to Yamaha? Maybe. I don't think he's happy with KTM, and they won't fight to keep him. Can you imagine a Yamaha factory team with Tomac/Webb/Ferrandis? Talk about a powerhouse team!
If Webb jumps ship at KTM, can anybody see Ferrandis to KTM...especially since Musquin is rumored to retire after 2022 season? Of course, if DF14 does well outdoors this year...or even wins again, Yamaha might be throwing down heavily to keep him.
Will Christian Craig move up to the 450's in 2023?
Ken being the proud man he is won’t stand for such a pay cut. He’ll be off.
Craig would be a good fit on that CRF for two years, then Jett will be ready for it.
Interesting silly season.
Pit Row
HRC
CS23 and CC28 (he was really good in MX and Jett stays down another year)
Kawi
JA21 and CW2 (not sure they have the $ especially if JA wins SX title)
Star
ET3 and AC9
KTM
AP7 and DF14
Husky
MS27 and MM25 (if he retires, maybe one of the 250 guys)
GasGas
JB51 and ? (do they add another? If so, MM25 or a 250 guy)
DF been Kawasaki rider until Procircuit missed to him when he came to US and let him sign Yamaha.
I can’t see Roczen split up with Red Bull, he is a Red Bull athlete since his 85cc days. That leaves only KTM and GasGas as Factory options.
I can’t see him teaming up with Webb, with the history they have. Or Webb needs to make a move to. GasGas a bit the same with Barcia being there as #1.
I can’t see Webb and KTM parting ways that easy, they got allot of succes the last 3 years and they will have that bike figured out before the season is over.
