It's pretty much Tomac's to lose at this point. 🤣

In all seriousness though, I see it being:

1) KR95
2) DF14
3) AP7
4) JB51

Praying with all my might to the MX gods that they all stay healthy!!

Heart says 94, heads says 14 with the guess that Roczen struggles down the stretch. Hope I am wrong though, would like to see Kenny do well down the stretch.

Big fan of KR94. But he will fade when they have 4 races in July. Sexton and AC maybe Plessinger is the new breed of outdoors on a 450.

Won't matter , he will have big enough point lead to cover it.

DF 14 will not fade. Unless something happens to him he is the favorite.

You bring up Sexton AC and Pless as the new breed of mx but no mention of the rookie smoking all of them?

I’d love to see Plessinger win it but my gut is telling me Ferrandis. Roczen is just too much of a wild card for me to pick.

Depends on what Kenny we get, if we get old school Kenny he wins. If we don’t, then Dylan has sure showed the pace and desire to win this. Still to early to say.

I'm talking 450 not 250.

Do you bet on Dylan getting shit starts, AC crashing or Kenny fading? Will be interesting for sure.

Season long intensity you'd probably give the nod to Dylan, which is why i'm guessing he can get it done.

AC seems to have a genuine speed advantage though, so if he can relax in that the arm pump (has he had this before) might subside.

And Kenny, fuck, if he can put it together cool, and might help him next year. IF* he fades out of contention, that turkey will be proper fucked going forward.

The weather could change things, the heat and humidity in the east and Midwest. Could see younger riders running out front. Midwest was 93 today with low humidity, so that’s nothing. Get the humidity and dew point way up, not too many people function well in it.

Ferrandis is still very new on that 450. He’s only going to get better.

My money is on DF14. I would like to see Ken get it though. If DF14 and AC9 would slow it down just 5% they probably would have more points at the end of the year. Like GL said before race 1, gunna be a great outdoor season!!! (I think he said the greatest?)

Hoping for KR here, it's a feel good story for the sport and think when he's in the mix it's better for the sport.

Kenny continues to show a rare ability to sprint past riders when he needs a position, especially opening laps . Its nice to see him able to step it up late in races and make some aggressive moves, big change from the later races in SX for him.

So far this year's MX series has been great racing to watch, hopefully it carries on with healthy riders and tight points race to end of series.

I think Kenny only gets better when we go east. Rutty and technical are his jam.

Eli will have a bounce back round at Southwick

This thread shows how pointless predictions are.
Folks are just calling what’s already happened.
Pre-season many were doubting if Ken would show up at all. Now he’s most people’s pick.

I was hoping Kenny could make a splash right away, and so he has. This is going to get good. Will he lose the red plate later on during the season, like he has done a lot of lately, or will Ferrandis wither under the pressure of 20 more outdoor motos on a 450?
I'm still waiting for Tomac and/or Osborne to catch fire, but they already have a lot of wood to burn if they do.

I think we'll have a better idea when the series goes east and the hot and humid temperatures start showing up.
Agreed! Those Honda's are working as are the Star bikes but a lot of factors in play and it's only been 2 rounds. Hopefully it's a close series to the end with great racing as we have seen thus far.

Everybody literally picks whoever wins round 1 or 2. 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️

I’ll bite and say that either
Chase Sexton and Adam C will figure out a way...

You’re right, someone could pull an RV 2011 and just start reeling off wins after a couple rounds

I call Ferrandis for a major yard sale by round 5, leaving Kenny with a strong points lead. Chase and AC start winning some motos second half of the series, but by then Ken is doing what he needs to do to lock it down. Outdoors is a different animal than SX, so I don't see Ken having the same issues down the stretch that he had indoors.

No chance the 450 or 250 title is won by an American. My money is on Ferrandis and Lawrence. We really struggle at moto now. It hurts but reality. The rest of the planet just wants it more and is willing to suffer more to get it.

Yes, it is crazy that two weeks ago the majority of people were saying Tomac.

DF14 if he does not crash and get hurt seems the best pick at the moment.

One thing with Tomac is that his qualifying speed was pretty good. He didn't race like that but he may not be far off a turnaround. Who knows.

GP riders have pulled ahead because of tougher tracks deeper fields and training for it year round. How long have Kenny and Dylan been here now ? Roczen struggled in the Red Bud MXdN as much as our guys did. And it's not like Jett Lawrence is a hardened GP veteran, he's just very talented. Nationality has zero to do with it.
