Title says it all. Super stoked!

Do any of the current GasGas owners have any tips related to the bike or watch outs during the initial break in process?

My bad. It's still sitting at the dealer. I got there right before they closed and made my down payment. I still have to fill out the paperwork online this weekend and then I'm going to pick it up on Tuesday.

Please forgive me!

My tip would be to look up those tips for a ktm or husky and apply it to the gas gas

That makes sense for the most part.

I was more looking for tips/pointers related to the things that separate the brands such as the forks (settings), forged triple clamps, engine characteristics (due to no MAP switch), the wheels, the plastics (does anything have a tendency to rattle loose), etc.

Buy an hour meter, because it doesn't have one. Enjoy the new bike.

Take off all the plastic and replace with aftermarket KTM plastic. Save the OEM stuff, for when you sell it.

Are KTM and GasGas plastic the same fit? I thought they were a little different.

I believe you also need a different tank. Seely talks about it on his Youtube channel, if anyone wants to reference.

Thanks for the tips, guys. Eve the obvious ones haha.

I found out yesterday that there is a recall on the chain, so GasGas won't allow the dealer to issue the bike until that is fixed, which won't be until next week. What a bummer, I was planning to tear it down this weekend and grease it all up.

My intent is to ride this thing via both off road and moto, so I mainly got it for the suspension and because my current 450 is too much for me in the woods. Everything I've read stated that the suspension can be plush enough for off road, but also hold up enough for Moto. I basically got it as my all around fun bike.

If I decide to go to a rough moto track with some big hits I can always take my full moto suspension off of my 450SXF.
Otherwise, here is what I plan to add:

- Skid plate
- KTM MAP switch
- Hand guards
- Guts seat cover
- 2 stroke air filter cage
- VP T4

Yep. Buying one off a buddy that replaced the switch on his FC250 with a GET system.

I finally got this thing on Saturday after a recall on the chain delayed me being able to pick it up. I still need to swap my suspension out, but this is what it looks like for now.

It needs Red spoke wraps.

The aftermarket triple clamps from KTM or ride engineering really do make in difference in comfort and front end traction if you are keeping the stock air fork. I know they are a bit expensive but they are worth it.

Also, get rid of the stock bars, they are way too stiff and vibrate too much. Pro taper seems to be the choice for most guys I know of.

I'm not keeping the oem suspension. I'm swapping with the 450 that I'm about to sell. So it will have a full Race Tech setup with spring conversion. I still may look into some clamps later down the road, though.

I actually bought a set of Mika bars for it for that exact reason, but I'm an idiot and purchased the CR high bend. It looked like a chopper even with me on it and I'm 6'1. I put the OEM stuff back on real quick.

Keep a eye on the motor mounts, they do back out over time, also on my husky the front fender bolts behind the number plate fell out out after 5 hours which was my bad I never checked them.

Quick update on this bike. I've only put 16 hours on it since March, but I've ridden it enough to know what I like and what I wanted to change.

I added some Pro Pegs just because I could and I'm glad I did. they look trick and my feet have never felt so planted before. I wish I would have bought some for my previous bikes rather than waste my time sharpening the stock pegs with a freaking file. Lesson learned.

I just got a Vortex in today that was mapped by twisted development for the full exhaust and T4. HOLY CRUD! I took it around the yard for a few minutes to see if I could tell a difference and it was instantly noticeable. More torque, more power, but it felt so smooth and like the bike didn't vibrate as much? Really weird feeling, but a good feeling. I'm excited to take it to the track tomorrow and see what it does.

Shrouds and tank are different, the rest interchanges.

Looks sweet, the white backgrounds help it look a little retro flavored, enjoy man!
