Awesome pic haha. I don't "dislike" any rider, especially being that I don't know a single one of them personally, but I think with a change of scenery and the right program that Webb will get it figured out. There's no arguing the potential is there. I'm most excited to see what Osborne can do on a 450 though.

I wonder what exchanges were made back at the semi??

Yeah I would agree, just think it's funny the way things change in this sport. Along those same lines about a year ago not too many people on here had many good things to say about Barcia, now people are loving him because he flipped someone mid air.

Hey, I don't love any of them.
But, if anyone hasn't seen how far 51 fell down the pecking order, and pulled himself back up, they haven't been watching American MotoCross.
That's respect earned, what Barcia has done don't come easy.
That he doesn't have time to mess around with, well, whatever, and shows it sometimes, eh, kind of funny really.

Eh, I always thought Webb was a bit of a prick. Barcia used to be an arrogant punk too but he admits that and has been humbled by his career since. I hope Webb has done the same.

I see Cooper having a pretty high ceiling as far as speed , skill and determination . We have seen what he's capable of by just watching some of his first 450 rides , before he was even on them full time. That's not even including what we saw him do on the 250's .

Tell ya.....we tend to write rider's off to much. Look how many years we wrote Reed off. Or Barcia , or multiple other rider's. Most always come back and prove us wrong. Sometimes it may take a couple years. That's why I say it's a " slump "......because I know damn well what he's capable of. He'll figure it out.

Yep. Agree, he's a technical rider too, so it's going to be about comfort.

Peick has been about the same blue or yellow the last few years, because he's just beating the bike over the head. Coop is pretty tech, bet once he's comfy on a smaller feeling bike we see him go fast again.

Nothing beats a rider's mental projection of comfort & happiness turning into speed.

Yeah , and agree with what you said to Crush. I'm not even sure it's a comfort thing for Cooper. Besides the injuries , there could be other things going on as well. Personal life? Maybe just not gelling with the team? Burn out? Who knows? I just know I ain't writing him off.

Not that I've gone through all the websites... but beyond that one photo that TWMX posted, has anyone followed this up with interviews or an insight into what went on after the race and back at the semi?

love this

my .02

barcia has a big great personality, we get to see that an enjoy it. Instead of being a boring robot he shows how he feels and its awesome.

webb, has a terrible work ethic and is well known for hating training (gym), eating properly. etc.

bam bam for the win.

This is one of the things missing in Moto. I miss Stew and Reed's clear desire to beat one another. J law getting in Dungey's head. Cooper chanting Marvin's name on the line. I don't care if they hate each other but damn sometimes it looks like guys just aren't bothered enough about not winning. Winning should be worth more then it is!

I'd have liked to heard Barcia say how good it felt to pass Kenny several times this season. Tomac never got asked how it felt to pass Marv and put a huge gap on him in one lap. I think these guys need to be cut loose a bit. Let them show their personalities. I can't say who is to blame but this sport is missing rivalries right now!

I disagree with you about the work ethic part. You won't be a multiple 250 class champion without training properly.

Imo Webb needs a healthy year to build on. It's unbelievable how many people write these guys off when they have 1/2 bad years with injuries. During SX, he clearly showed the speed during time practices and heat races. He had some major bad luck this season so hopefully he can turn it around with a new bike.

And well, Barcia will always be Barcia Grinning

Webb looked miserable at the autograph signing that morning at Dilla. Barcia and him had 100+ people waiting in the rain to get an autograph of his and he looked grumpy. Barcia was stoked to have people wanting his autograph, and was talking to people, having a good time, like a professional should. Everyone has bad days, but don't be grumpy to the fans that wait in the rain to get your autograph. That's a quick way to lose fans.

Anything happen back at the semi?
Not a thing pretty quiet honestly. I was surprised both guys kept to themselves. Webb was pretty quiet and then took off. Barcia stuck around and chatted with literally every fan that was their. He also went ou tof his way and shook the hand of every team member and thanked them.

Webb doesn’t have the work ethic to work with Aldon? You lost your damn mind he’s had a rough go on the 450. But You guys seem to forget he’s got 2sx and 1 mx title

Yeah and all previous 250 champs succeed once they make the jump to the 450 class. (Eyeroll).

I'm far from a Webb fan but he clearly has a shit tonne of speed and talent, but it's make or break next year. If he can't significantly improve on a KTM under Aldon then it's time to write him off.

It doesn't matter if they have 1 title or 4 titles in the 250 class. The 450 is a whole different game.

FYI, switching to KTM and the Aldon Baker program is not a magic pill.

Nah, he's just pissed since he had Cooper on his fantasy team and he's no Bam-Bam-Fan. Pffft, the dude probably doesn't even torque his sprocket bolts.

Best part was his "keyboard warrior" accusation whilst BEING a keyboard warrior...that doesn't even torque proper.

I mean, he's a national champ, two-time regional SX champ, USGP winner over Herlings and podiumed in SX in like 6 races or something.

A lot of injuries in two years, maybe wait till he's done nothing apart from the above and a few more factory rides before declaring that?

Webb has tons op upside and actually he has been riding half way decent here and there recently. It sucks that his tenure at Yamaha as a 450 pilot has basically been two sub par years but he has been injured a lot. A change of scenery will probably do him good. It wouldn't surprise me to see him become much more competitive next year.

That's what I saw too. But Barcia thinks like Barcia & figured Coop rode dirty! lol This reminds me of Reed when he took out Andrew Short because he though Shorty was riding dirty!

This thread is stupid, nobody knows whats going on behind closed doors or what will happen in the future, its all pure bullshit and speculation. lets just sit back and watch how it unfolds with no judgment. We all love this sport, thats why we are on here writing stupid threads and posts about it, so lets just have a little more love and respect for the guys who are actually out there risking their lives so we can watch moto every Sunday.
