Obviously no, but the span of a mechanics career can be much longer than that of a racer.

just about every other major sport makes player an rider salaries public knowledge.
maybe if this sport did the same thing it would attract more interest.
like i said in another topic the riders that usually finish outside the top 10 are taken advantage of in my eyes. so maybe thats why these figures arent as openly discussed.
these kids spend their entire life trying to get to the pro sx/mx level and if they are fortunate enough to get there i bet most dont even cover their expenses for the weekend and thats sad. the industry should be ashamed of themselves for the way that these guys are compensated.
a buddy of mine made the lites main last weekend and when we talked about what he made it wasnt enough to cover the weekend expenses. PATHETIC
