No. Just no. Herlings is a world class athlete. If you honestly believe he wouldn't come here and do well at SX then you're blind as a bat. Would he dominate like he does in MX2? No, absolutely not. But he would definitely be a contender.

Ofc i believe he could be a contender? But he would struggle as we speak? And ofc he is a world class rider. I would love to see him come over and race, but i guess we never will. Tbh i dont know why he wont race any outdoors one or two tracks, would have love to see him do southwick, even do its different sand he would have shredd that one.
He's coming over this year, maybe a few Americans will line up and race him at Glen Helen for the last race? :-)

Wow what a day for racing glad i stayed awake all the way through sx and the GP.

Interesting to see Tim Gajser win his first ever GP over Jeffrey Herlings, he was on it in that 2nd moto! Herlings still holds a strong lead in the championship though and we are heading to a dutch 'sand' GP next week so no panic there. But it sure is somewhat interesting to see a up comming youngster steal an overal win away from Herlings.

450s .. man what a show! Real bummed about the DNF for Villopoto in the 2nd moto. He and Desalle where battle-ing so hard that was really awesome to see. Such a bummer he didn't get to finish but see-ing the picture of his bike damaged that would've been impossible anyway. I hope RV is okay injury wise and he can continue the season on full strenght, sure he is lots of points down now but still lots of rounds to make points up and get comfortable. Mistakes are bound to happen for all riders involved in this series.

But damn what about Max Nagl, he is looking incredibly good so far this season. Don't count Cairoli out of this yet though. Same thing with Desalle, the points are really tight right now and i hope it will stay like this for many rounds to come. Next week we have a sand GP, which i will be attending Woohoo Lots of people expect AC222 to kill it there, we will see.

Gonna be boring week i need lots and lots of racing to fix my needs lol...

Just like any orther rider (regardless to where he was born, like that even matters....) would struggle if they where thrown on a SX track without any practice and or experience.

You, a few posts above:

"Herlings himself said he dont want to do supercross cause he aint comfortable when he tryed it out, he was actually struggling big time on a smaller more arena cross style of tracks, then imagine yet alone a real supercross track. And ofc you crash its bloody motorcycling racing."

So you were wrong and prove it by quoting the sentence that proves you're wrong? Fair enough...

my bad. Sry mr croissant

I thought roczen did superb way better than herlings when he first rode a supercross track? But i think roczen got more talent.

True Glen Helen. Yeah Cooper webb , Jeremy Martin should give it a go. And i would love to see Dungey stack up there to. But would love to see herlings race more than just Glen helen.

Can't say since i was not there on both occasions. And more talent does not guarantee more success either. It's not because one rider looks initially better that the other can't evolve into a better rider.

But this whole discussion is a shoulda, coulda, woulda thing. Unless he moves over to ride SX we can't predict how he would do.

ehm i thought he was more talented than herlings way before he became a 450 champ. 2011 MX2 gp´s comfirmed that, Roczen is amazing and he adapted quick, better than musquin and the rest.

I doubt it. Would be good for the racing and some sort of a pretaste of mxdn. Alessi did one back in 11-12 i remember? came up second to Tony?

How can you tell, they both ran diferrent paths,Roczen was a season up on JH84 when he left, but JH was giving him fits,Kenny went SX and JH stayed here, impossible to compare.

Only time they came together since was Lommel,I know it's his paradise but it shows another skillset, those 2 are both incredible riders, too hard to compare

2011 FIM Motocross World Championship season mx 2. That is why i believe roczen is the better of them both. Ofc its been a while since , but my personal opinion is on K-roc. And like you said of course its hard to compare them, both are great. i remember watching that season and roczen was flying, herlings not far of but still roczen edged him. But we dont know how herlings would do over here, unfortunately he is not riding any supercross or ama nationals. Would be neat to see him more than just that one Glen helen race.

Nailed it, a soft spoken professional indeed. Raw deal for his last year in the GP's in my opinion,he didn't deserve that

Haha naah im fine we got plenty of good riders. But yeah germany should be stoked with their riders atm, Nagl - Roczen.

I also like Nagl cause he seems to be a genuine nice guy relaxed and calm a bit underrated or should i saydoesn't get the credit he deserves , people talk about Tony, Paulin, Desalle etc. - For the title - by now l i hope Nagl wins it!

They have Brian Hsu coming up and they could be a real threat at MXDN this year or the next. Very solid team if everyone`s healthy.

The 2011 championship was not as close as the final points make it look. Roczen clinched the title with one race to go and rode a 125 at the last race in Italy and scored a 5-DNF while Herlings went 2-1 to close up the final points gap.

Yeah well that race with the 125 was freaking awesome. He took that 125 sx two stroke machine to a top five if i am not mistaken in that first moto? Roczen was riding very good that year and i thought herlings was a tad of even do he rode great.
