A few of my favorite riders from the past decade or so seem to have fallen from the map the past few years, and I've been wondering what they were up to. Does anybody know about Sebastien Tortelli? Last I remember he was involved with KTM, but haven't seen his name in a few years. How about Sean Hamblin? Last I heard of him was his mini-comeback on a Yamaha outdoors about 5 years ago. Also, what's Ernesto Fonseca up to? I thought I heard something about him returning to Costa Rica?

Darcy Lange? Almost won a SX title for pro circuit, got hurt, then diagnosed with cancer. I thought I heard he was doing good, but that has been a few years ago?

Sebastien and Sean are both riding coaches. Sean's deal is a bit low-key, while Sebastien still has his Champ Factory gig (which was at one time involved with KTM). His deal involves local guys and training camps for riders from outside of the country.

Darcy's retired from racing and living on Vancouver Island working with his wife's dad in the logging business the last I heard.

Too bad. That kid could have won quite a few more championships than the bunch he won in Arenacross. He could always find a way to rise to whatever challenges were before him. I'm sure if he had raced more supercross he'd have won multiple titles in that discipline as well.

What about justin buckelew and Johnny marley? (I know there's probably old threads but I'm feelin lazy)

Sean showed up @ Zaca Station about 2 months ago with Ryan Penhall. He was riding a 2-stroke and can still haul ass.... Same guy, different segment of his life. He seemed like he had a good time with the group he came out with.

Buckalew was one of the most talented mini riders of his era. It's too bad he didn't bring that intensity to the pro ranks, he was one of my picks to win championships... I ran into Marley @ Lake Whitney in '07, haven't heard anything about him in a long time.

I'm a trainer in Houston and recently had a parent hit me up for training that just moved to Houston from New Mexico and said Buckalew had been training their kid.

Marley raced at Three Palms near Houston a few year ago, maybe 09 or 10. Rode the pro class at a big pro purse race and ran up front with the top pros'in the region like Lemoine, Hahn, Hackley etc...

Here's a time warp, but what happened to Craig Decker ?? I have been watching a few races from the mid 90's lately, and last night watched the San Diego SX. He ran second to Huffman in the 125 West, and had Ryno covered.

Buckelew is doing well training riders. Hung out with him a little at the final Arenacross in Salt Lake last March.
Darcy seems to be doing real well also, he's on instagram @darcylange1 and posts up cool throwback mx pics once in awhile.
He has his two AX championship bikes in his living room.

He lives in Texas, I believe, running an Enzo Racing center and his dad works for Ross in the main California Enzo shop.

Yup, Craig is living here in north Texas, working for Enzo. He's usually out at the track testing and tuning, or riding. He just recently did the suspension on my buddy's bike and mine, super nice guy, and did an awesome job on both of our bikes.

Here is a so so update on Ferry - http://racerxonline.com/2013/04/10/between-the-motos-tim-ferry - I think his son is pretty involved with riding and racing. Laninovich is doing riding schools and training a couple of riders, Bisceglia I think.

Yep, he lives in Newark, Texas, and he's out at River Valley MX a couple days a week. Still hauls the mail.

He was with YoT in 2006, then came back in 2007 with Motoworld and won a race. He was on PC in 2008 and I haven't heard anything about him since then.

Damn, I totally forgot about him winning that last race then riding for PC. Did he get injured early on with PC?

Trey says he'll be staying at Ferry's all next month and training with him at RV's old place.

Good to hear Laninovich is training guys, he's definitely a talented guy on a motorcycle. He has some of the best whips in the business, too.
