I don't know that everyone has jumped as much as we're used to seeing him fight harder than he did. I just posted in the peick thread that I think he decided to just cruise/ not push it in Vegas and the last few rounds just so he can make it outdoors safely.

I have to believe he's going to be on a different brand outdoors. His publicized discontent for Honda and the way he's not really been pushing the pace like we know he can. I imagine he was saving himself for a new ride. I have nothing but speculation and I wouldn't take any speculation as fact until the official word. . .

I'm still a big fan of Chads! No bandwagon jumping here. In fact, I just stuck up for him in the Weston Peick thread!

My hats off to Reedy! I think he raced an ultra smart SX series and will come out swinging for outdoors. Time will tell

mx/sx fans are fickle. i watched half the stadium boo Reed in 08 in Vegas and cheer Windham during opening ceremonies. when Reed passed Windham for the lead, the whole crowd cheered him and cheered the finish and podium speech.

the idiots ragging on him here are just that, idiots. a little respect shouldn't be that hard to give to a past champ.
5/7/2013 2:11pm
Why? Because the bandwagon was moving so slowly that they could jump off without fear of any serious injury.
5/7/2013 3:04pm
^^ same here! Ive been a fan since 2003.

Something most us fans of James Stewart have been asking from you " idiots" for years now. A little respect for a past champion.

I'm still a Reed fan, I just hope he doesn't try to hang on too long. It seems like he's wearing out but hasn't quite figured out what to do next. I imagine it's hard to step away from something that has consumed your entire life for 20 some years.

I like Reedy but I hate to see him struggle. Hope the fire is lit at Hangtown!

I was not on the Speedy Reedy wagon to he got on the Honda and if when he leaves Honda for another brand I will jump off. Not until then. Riders come and go, but the Big Red machine is there year after year I am on the Honda band wagon, as riders jump on and off the Honda wagon who I root for changes.

Still a Reed fan. Hope he finds his health and speed. Reality is that one day, they all slow down and the young kids pass them by. But, doesn't change that Reed's a class guy for the sport, and it's been a pleasure watching him race.

I'll cheer for the guy regardless of where he finishes but I have to say this season was disappointing. By his standards he looked pretty terrible from the start and never really got going. Bit more like his old self at San Diego - though that was the only highlight really. A new title chase could be just what he needs, however getting on terms with the likes of RV and RD is unlikely to be any easier at this point.

If his result aren't significantly better outdoors after the first 5 or 6 rounds, then personally I doubt he'll stick around for the whole season. He'll want to get away for a few months, regroup and come back firing for 2014.

Big fan, but the Ryans are going to be tough to beat. Wouldn't mind seeing him do it though!

I'm still a fan...but he only got two podiums in sx this year. Probably why there isnt more hu bub about him.

He really should bring Weston onboard. Turn it into a 15 minute per week internet reality show. I'd watch.

Been on the bandwagon since 2002. He was certainly over Supercross the last few weeks, but I'm not sure we've seen the last of him on the podium. Before he took the flight in 2011 he was the fastest guy out there, before he went down in 2012 he was at least as fast as RV. He didn't lose that much in a year and a half, there may be some fight left. Guess we'll see, either way he is the most successful foreign rider ever, and will leave the sport with the largest wad of cash. If he isn't fighting for wins we won't see him in 2014, he's always called it like he saw it and don't I see any reason he won't be able to call it on his self when it's time.

Never heard, don't judge a book by its cover? Rode bikes 1978 till 1985, bikes and couches 1985 to 1995. Raced both 1990 to 1995 when I broke my back. 1995 to 2005 could not ride, 2005 to present mostly couches but bike once in awhile. I enjoy riding the couch more so what? At my size I am not at near the disadvantage on the couch as I am on a bike and I crash a lot less on the couch. I am here because I love motocross rather it be bike, quad, or snowmobile. I am open minded about MX so I get to enjoy more of it due to liking SX, MX, Couch MX, and snocross instead of just one type. I do not come here and shove threads about couches down anyone's throat, in fact I have started one thread only and that was to see why the hate for couches exists here. As I enjoy riding both, and it was explained. I do not participate in the bike vs couch feuds cause I feel I am above that and enjoy both. I also feel with the economy the way it is, the whole MX community should pull together to keep our dying sport alive. I am here because I love the sport of motocross.

Still a fan here. Chads the man, it's been a tough season. He's back from injury, that shit takes time to get back on the pace he was on before he wadded.

Big fan. The Nationals will be telling, though. I'm not convinced the knee fix is working out.

I may never understand the appeal of quads, but good for you if you do, and respect for doing what you want. You're also right about the community pulling together. We both face land closures equally and a united front couldn't hurt.

Anyway, I'm still a Reed fan and hope comes out swinging for the outdoors.
