Gonna be interesting to see WHO, of the big 4 in the 250 class - needs to do the LEAP at RED BUD - to stay in the

hunt. Discuss amongst yourselves, no cross-jumping, please ?

I doubt anyone wants to come up short , but years ago it was like a wall before the landing. They filled in the middle some over the years. I believe Dowd broke his leg on it a long time ago.

... or who will be willing to take the risk to do it lap after lap, to break away from the pack and pull away?

of the big 4 I'd bet if one jumps it the other 3 will as it is such a huge time advantage to do it. there will be others launching it if the line up there allows.

Agree. In 2010 Pourcel did it on the first lap I believe and Barcia did it in practice one year and broke a wheel. I predict Baggett will be doing it during the race. He's a little guy so he's got some extra HP lol.

Based on your avatar you're going to need two 450s welded together to get over that thing Grinning

Yes they will all do it at some point, that wasn't the question. The question was who will need to do it to stay in the hunt and I think that will be KRoc. Barcia and Baggett won't need it even thought they may be frequently pulling it as well. Not that KRoc isnt flying.

Seems to me, that over the last few years - there have been sporadic " test jumps" by the 250's - yet not consistent lap-

after-lap 250 airings....

This nutty year - with Roczen, Barcia, Tomac, Baggett and who knows else, I 've gots me some feelings that THIS year, it's

gonna be about who does, routinely, clear that massive gap...

And, when you come to think about it, there's really nothing on the series- circuit anymore, that the 450's are clearing -

that the 250's aren't....

In fact at Steel City last year, there was THAT massive launch that more 250's were clearing.....

Gots to wonder if the Kaw track arrow will man up and clear the leap this year, or simply double in and wave to to the

other arrows in the stands.

I think ricky renner will be launching the leap consistently every lap on the yz125 pinger. Lighter bikes fly farther so he should hit that small jump with ease.

Tedesco could show them how, he launched it several laps back in '04 on a 250F. He had fallen and was putting in an inspiring ride!.

I remember a long time ago Jeff Matiasevich showing double pistols over the leap, crowd went wild.
