Dallas/Ft Worth MX Tracks

Going to be in the Dallas area for a couple of weeks and get to bring my bike with me. The plan is to ride as many tracks as possible. Does anyone have any advice on the best tracks to ride and which ones to avoid? If so, what is the weekly practice schedule? Groomed? Price?

popular tracks are river valley, I-35, underground mx, and freestone. Pretty much every track is $20. Avoid shady grove.

Swan is IMO the best track around. Just my opinion! There are a number of great tracks around the Dallas area. Swan is a membership track. You might be able to get ahold of Trey Clingfost about riding there. It usually is not prepped except on sundays I believe. Great people that run it.

The other tracks are great as well, you could hardly go wrong with any of them. I know some of the owners and they too are great people. You should have fun at any track you choose to ride at! Have Fun & be safe!

txmotocross.com has most of the practice schedules. Lots of tracks in the DFW area, one I would heavily suggest is Underground MX. River Valley, Oak Hill, Village Creek, Nocona, and I-35 are all great tracks too. Swan is nice but a long hike from the metroplex.

The best DFW area tracks that are open for regular weekday practice are:

Tuesday:
Village Creek - night practice

Wednesday:
Oak Hill - 12-dark but they are closed until after the GNC

Thursday:
River Valley - 12-dark

Regular weekend practice:

River Valley - Sat/Sun 9-4
Village Creek - Sat 10-3, Sun 12-5
Nocona - Sat 9-5, Sun 1-5
Oak Hill - Sat 10-4, after GNC


I-35, His 956, Underground are all great tracks too, but their practice schedules vary so call before you haul.
