Does being the number 1 rider at Suzuki put Metcalfe over the top? Every year he's improved being the number 2 rider to a podium contender. I have a feeling that being the number 1 rider Metcalfe is going to work that much harder and have that extra confidence in 2012 to contend for the plate.

take some top 3-5's every now and then. but beating them outright, nah. i don't think so.
Oh, good, everyone did it for me. Never mind!
He's right up there with the top of that second tier, but is he better than Short, Windham, Brayton, and Millsaps? How about Grant, Weimer, Tickle, and Hanson? Once in a while, yes, but every week? Sorry, but he ain't breaking the top 5 at the end of the season without a disaster from the big guys. Outdoors he'll be awesome, though.
Quick, someone get Metcalfe in here to read these comments for motivation!
It's jus' gonna be nice.
Nice avatar by the way.

Outdoors...With it being his second year on the bike i expect some big things from him. His speed and fitness is there, just has to be consistent each round. I wouldnt be surprised to see him finish top 3 in points.
Thanks, that's my 9 year old racing in New Braunfels, TX last year.
As everyone else says outdoors is a whole different story. I can see him pulling off a win or two outdoors if the right pieces fall into place for him.
There are Ferrys, Shorts, Windhams, and Metcalfes.
Brett Metcalfe is a damn good Metcalfe.
